I think this kid is going to be exceptional -- especially with the weapons he has at his disposal. He needs to settle down a little, but he reminded me of Mike Vick's first year a VT. Not quite as fast but a silly combination of arm strength and running ability.

Brian Kelly was asked about Wimbush possibly playing a role with a specific package on Tuesday. He held his cards pretty close to his chest, but agreed it's something they're looking at.

What do you guys think the odds are we may see something like that this weekend--especially if its windy and pouring down rain all day?

I'd say VERY small unless a situation presents itself in CLemson's tendencies or DK is struggling passing. It definitely gives Clemson something to think about extra but I would be shocked if BK does that.

Agreed. Wimbush is a true freshman. Unless we are up by 3 scores in the fourth quarter, my guess is that he's not getting into a game in a downpour against a ranked opponent.

See, i'm worried that the rain will affect our pass game to the point of needing another dimension on the ground. I guess if they know we're going to be running it sort of eliminates the surprise factor of a mobile qb though. Still would get us a lead blocker at least.

I read an interview with Bk where he said they were at the point now with Winbush where he could start seeing some action if the game allowed it. It sounded like he meant getting in Winbush in certain scenarios and that they were comfortable with him running his package. Something to look for tonight maybe.
