This is Quinn and the Shark last game. Let's not have a repeat of last year fiasco against Ohio State or this year against ( Michigan and the Scum). They say next year gonna be a down year with us starting so many young players, not to mention a new QB. So Charlie you had over a month to prepare for this team, so let's end this season on a high note. Let's Go Dame. P.S. 9-3 next year would be a great season in my eyes 7-5 wont.

Agreed. Win or lose, I would like to see some offensive ingenuity, not the endless WR screens. Bring back the unpredictability!

Quinn, McKnight, Samardjiza, Victor, Ryan Harris, Bob Morton, Richardson, Ndukwe, Freeman, Chervanick, Frome and all the rest... these guys deserve to go out with a win.

Win or lose, I don't want to see:

1. ND come out flat
2. 50 passes and only 15 runs
3. Bend then break defense

It's a new year and time to turn away from the mistakes of the past.

I was on and off the phone with Charles during the week and told him my thoughts on the gameplan... he thought it was great and would throw it in the overall scheme... it's money and I should get all the credit when we drop a bengal bitch slapping 2 night

Some things I'd like to see on offense:

Carlson getting behind the LBs for 10-15 yds, keeping LBs and safeties honest. Even sweeter if it happens on hot routes off safety blitzes from Landry.

A "hitch and go" that looks like the Shark screen with Rhema blocking. Both do a double move and leave overly aggressive CBs jock behind. Shades of MoSto vs. BYU last year.

No huddle the entire game (OK, I'm dreaming, but just sayin').

Toss sweeps--student body left and right to move the OL and generate momentum without having Walker have to read the zone blocks and choose a lane. It also forces the DL to move and can wear them down a bit. It gets our OL thinking about doling out punishment for a change.

Traps to take adavantage of LSU overpursuit.

On Defense:

Derek and Trevor blasting off the ball to stuff interior running plays.

Zibby and Duke not cheating up to stuff the run (UM, USC, oh the horror)

DBs wrapping up

Gang tackling everyone, especially Russell

Travis Thomas roaming like an angry, hungry, rabid dog in a butcher shop.

Zone blitzes

Decleating hits on the WRs

No pass plays given up over 20 yards

I actually think that using the 2-minute offense for a good portion of the game would be a really good way to wear down the DL. Hopefully their conditioning suffered over the last month. If we can get them tired, it would be great.

Not only would it wear them down, it would prevent them from analyzing the offense too much...and would hopefully throw them off their game.
