Troy Smith said on ESPN radio " Brady Quinn is th best QB in college" Reply
and he also agrees that he is better then him. It was on the Dan Patrick show.

People are saying it is a sign of class...I just think he has graduated from Slimeball Sweatervest's clinic on acting classy....which does not mean that you are, in any way classy.

Thoughts?

I think he KNOWS Brady Quinn is the better quarterback and He's just sugar coating his Heisman Trophy that he's going to win on saturday with being "classy" if thats what you want to call it.

Not many people know he got kicked out of St. Edwards in Cleveland for shouting racial slurs on the basketball court....thats REAL classy.

Brady Quinn is a great Quarterback. Troy Smith is an outstanding Quarterback. Anyone who thinks differently dosent know whats up.

Troy Smith is a vary good player, but iw oud lbe interested to see how good he woudl be on Notre Dame's Roster with Sub top 50 running game and defense, along with almost getting sacked as many times as he threw a touchdown pass.

Your probably right. But Why many people dont think Troy Smith translates well to the NFL or why he isnt as good as an NFL prospect as Brady Quinn is beyond me.

IMO with the HUGE ego's in sports today I think that's a pretty humble thing to say. Plus, he know's he's pretty much won the Heisman. Now if for any reason that the Heisman commitee would shock the world and pick Quinn, that would be a true test of his character.

The NFL is all about measurables:
Look at this picture, I coudl not believe it, Brady is as big if not bigge then Calvin Johnson, people might be scared off by Troy Smith's size.

By the way, to even suggest that Smith is that much better of a QB than Quinn is laughable. Stats speak for themselves. Give Quinn everything that Smith has had at shitbird university and Quinn's numbers would be even higher and he would have shattered the records he already broke. Smith was fortunate enough to have WR's that had great speed and were able to blow by their defenders and half the time they had to wait for the deep ball to reach them, meaning Smith wasn't able to hit them in stride, he also had WRs that were able to turn short passes into long yardage plays. Smith couldn't hold Quinn's jockstrap.

Sparty sticking up for a buckeye. Your hate for ND is really showing through. Still not over that loss from 2 months ago eh?

One of the major knocks against TS, besides his projected inability to play QB in the NFL, that NFL player directors have against him is his character (low in stature, hangs with the wrong crowd). This is nothing more than an attempt by his "pro" advisors to make him look like a "stand-up" kinda guy.

Might be? Pro Football Weekly Draft Report is all over his lack of height. Pick up a copy at any book store, it really breaks down everything about the 2007 draft and its prospects to include ones character. They slam TS in that as well.

Looking at that picture, Quinn is a monster. If he wasn't a quarterback, I swear he could play linebacker.

Thoughts are sounds like you and a few others are haters.. If TS said he was is better then BQ then he gets crap, but he says BQ is better and still gets crap. Not sure anything can please you.. What would rather see a sweater vest or large sweatshirt hanging down to the knees???

The Sweatervest refence had nothing to do with what TS is wearing and everything to do with Coach Tressel, who constantly wears a sweater vest (this is a common reference).

In leading the Ohio State Buckeyes to one title, (should have been a second last year) he has coached a team that has lead the NCAA in arrests in the last five years and has 55% graduation rate (30% amongst African Americans). The entire program is about false appearences and coverups...it has nothing to do with character and leadership...the acting was just bad last night...it has nothign to do with being a "hater".

Just because it is 'beyond you' doesn't make it WRONG.........You'd have a tough time finding an NFL mock draft that has Smith ahead of Quinn....therefore, NFL analysts and NFL scouts think differently than you. Does that make THEM wrong?

The make believe wall that Bucknuts have put up around Troy Smith will come crashing down soon enough. They are riding the wave of ESPN kissing Troy's ass and now believe the guy is a young superstar QB in the making along the lines of Vince Young, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn. He's just not, whether they want to believe it or not. he is back-up qb at best and more than likely a 3rd stringer or NFL Europe player. He was fortunate to play for a team with vasty superior talent then their opponents. You can say the same for Leinart except Leinart had the size and proven ability to get the job done in close games at the end. "Troy is a big game player". So was Charlie Ward & Tommy Fraser. Big games in college can't be compared on any level to big games in the NFL. Troy Smith will be Jason White before you know it.

Mel Kiper Jr. has Troy Smith at number 20 on his big board of who will go when....he wont be a 3rd stringer, he'll be on a good team as well going number 20...the Heisman, Maxwell, any other college award has nothing to do with draft status and Im unsure why this always comes up when comparing the two, its college now and when the bowl season comes and goes then speak of their nfl potential....and bucks4life when he was speaking about a sweatervest or a sweatshirt hanging down to his knees was i believe speaking of Tressel compared to Weis whoever made a comment about that....Look Im not getting defensive here, but you can't tell me that Troy Smith is not a good passer, he blew Michigan up BIG time, something Quinn was unable to do, and you'll turn around and speak of Penn State, but those were two different days, beautiful day in South Bend, Shitty rainy day in Columbus, look at both MSU games shitty day in East Lansing for the ND game and nice for the OSU game....but I do remember Troy Smith having a great day throwing in the Fiesta Bowl last year, hitting Holmes and Ginn IN stride on deep balls....you can't tell me he's not a good passer, unless of course you don't watch college football.
