Brazil hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup and has several stadiums large enough to host the Pro Bowl. The country will also host the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Marvez reports that the league is interested in playing the game in Brazil to expand its reach to South America and to give players the incentive of playing in a foreign country. It will be discussed during this week’s league meeting in Phoenix.

There are some football teams in Brazil right now:

Go for it. It's lot like Americans care about the Pro Bowl. Might as well move the Raiders to Rio whole they're at it.

Sweet. Just one more thing Brazil can spend money on instead on focusing on, you know, their actual government.

Playing the Pro Bowl internationally is not a bad idea. However, Brazil is a bad choice. As alluded to above the Brazilian government is embroiled in corruption and scandal. This would surely bring protests and unrest and would not be a positive image for the NFL to project.

I am questioning whether the NFL decision makers have actual rocks in their heads.
