Seriously, it's good for us now, but we suffered through a decade of hell first. It's just our turn to be kings for awhile. It won't last forever and we're just enjoying the ride until it ends.

If I were a Bama fan, football is football. In that case I couldn't care less about doing it right when 95% of the country isn't either.

And I'm not on any high horse. There are some academic things I wish ND was more relaxed on in order to better the football product.

My family's address is in SE Alabama. LOL. Fact is, the average fan not on a message board, doesn't know players outside of the skill positions or much after the starting lineup. As a matter of fact my experience with most SEC teams, even die hard middle aged fans don't know who is on the team unless they play well.

This is accurate in my exprerience. I have friends who are ND alums and season ticket holders and every now and then they may have heard about "some 5 star RB out of Florida" that committed to ND, but they wont know anything else about him until he actually begins to step on the field on game days. They also could not probably name the entire starting 11 on offense or defense, or identify more than just the starters by number...and maybe not even all the starters.

The average fan of any school isn't routinely on message boards, checking the recruiting blogs, or keeping up with every detail of their team's news every day. Joe Average fan knows the stars, can name a handful of the other starters, and is mostly just concerned with the W/L record.

I didn't exclude all fanbases and specifically said the typical Alabama fan. I was responding to a post specifically about Alabama fans and koon just needs to go ahead and root for Alabama, though his insatiable desire for abs and half jerseys might get maxed out with all the BOD SQUAD members stockpiled there.

Alabama football is equivalent to a UK basketball program. The talent they get year-in-year-out (legit or not is the question), anything less than a national title 2 out of EVERY 3 years makes them look amiss! WTF!?!
