I agree with the last poster. The scheme involved gets a lot of players open. Combine that with SC's speed and the rest is history. The SC recievers were wide open across the middle of the field. Im sorry, but it looked to me that Sam Young could have been running the routes and gotten open. He wouldn't have taken it to the house but you see my point. Our defensive scheme looked horrible last night! If we are going to play the soft zone we all saw, we at least need to send the house and get some freaking pressure on the qb. Booty is fairly immobile, and seems to get rattled when he has someone in his face. A premier team recruits elite offensive lineman, and usually cannot be overrun by a front four. Even with all of SC's talented defensive lineman, Carroll brought linebackers and safeties to help out and ultimately put Quin on the ground too much. Im more of a play to win guy, and would rather blitz the qb if we arn't getting enough pressure. Make him throw a good deep ball. I can live with long touchdowns as long we make it a more difficult throw. Given the talent of Booty and his recievers, I can't stomach watching us being gutted for an entire game. As stated earlier, we need more speed, but enen the fastest teams like SC force the issue. We should be no different!
