Wherever we end up it's time to win a damm bowl game for a change

I think the Sugar Bowl; not sure the Rose Bowl match-up against Michigan would fly. I would love for a rematch against Michigan, but would like chances better against Florida/Arkansas winner, or obviously the ACC champ.

bring on the winner of the big east or acc...just a bowl game that can be won! And we will forsure be in a BCS bowl game with LSC and West V losing...not a chance in hell we drop out of the top 8 with this loss.

I see it being OSU v USC in the championship. After that i dont have a clue but i bet its ND v UF. That is a favorable match up for us. I just think that their defense will struggle against our O. Also there offense is really nothing much to brag about.... and forever GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if you're overly pissed off or trolling or what, but I'll give a serious answer.

The non-BCS options are Cotton and Gator. The competition in either wouldn't be much different this year than the non title game BCS competition. The cotton, for example, would be Texas or Nebraska at this point. In spite of their records, I think Texas is as good as an Arkansas or Georgia Tech.

I know everyone wants a "winnble" bowl, which I think is any game that doesn't include UM,OSU or USC, but I think we need to expect and want a BCS game. Its more money for ND, and it looks better for recruiting. I know we all want to end the bowl losing streak but lets not lower our expectations to win it. It depends on which Texas shows up. The Texas whose QB has his arm detached from his shoulder isn't very good.

The nice thing about facing Arkansas is they are one dimensional. And it happens to be the dimension that this defense is OK at. Not great, but decent.

I wouldn't say that the talent is way less in non BCS game. Their are some damn good teams that won't play in the BCS this year, you really want to play, say, LSU in a bowl game?

I wouldnt mind playing Lsu. They are good but I think we can hang with them because they dont have the firepower on offense like Michigan, Ohio State, Usc etc...

Rose vs Michigan: As time passes, more people are starting to believe that we deserve a rematch against the Wolverines. However, I don't think the Committee will want a rematch because our game wasn't close by any margin.
Fiesta vs Boise State This bowl will not take place.
Sugar vs SEC Seems to be the default bowl shall we fall nowhere else.
Orange vs GT/WFSeeing as how Tech will probably win this game, I see no way of the Committee pitting us against the Jackets for a rematch. We didn't play our best that game and we are now a totally different team.

In conclusion, Sugar still seems like the most obvious destination. Rose will be an option, but I'm not so sure about us playing Michigan. Should we not make to any BCS Bowl, well, who cares. Just pick one.

ND is going to a BCS Bowl their 10 wins get them in, and they are just too lucrative a draw for one of the BCS Bowl committees to pass up, because besides the NC game it really is all about the money. we probably draw the sec champ in the Sugar.

Agree totally. Outside of the NC game, the BCS wants to make its money and ND is a huge draw. I went to the Navy game in Baltimore and I thought I was at an ND home game!

The only reason that Wisconsin isnt in a BCS game as an at large team is because 3 teams from one conference cant get BCS births. They lost 1 game, to Michigan, so they are good and deserving of a BCS birth. Texas lost games knocking them out of the BCS because their QB is beat up, he'll be healthy come bowl time. GT/Wake or BSU arent obviously better than either of the above mentioned teams.

I think BSU is a damn sight better than people give them credit for. They're unbeaten, with a blowout win over an Oregon St team that beat USC.

And no, Wisconsin is not "good and deserving of a BCS berth." Sorry. Count their wins over ranked opponents. There are none. If they'd played OSU and Michigan, they'd have had two losses instead of one. They're probably a top 25 team, but no better. They just didn't play anybody.
