10-2 regular season with losses two 2 of the Top 3 BCS teams in USC and Michigan. I'll certainly take that all things considered.

Anways, if Nd manages to recieve an undeserved Rose Bowl bid, at least I'll be confident that our 3 bowl losing streak will be snapped.
Of course losses like these hurt recruiting. Don't kid yourself. It's one thing to lose by 1, it's quite another when you get blown out. It means you're not the best team. Amazing how recruits flock to the best teams. USC's defense is going to be monstrous in the next few years.

You honestly think that two straights years of not winning big games, and 3 consecutive humiliations in big games, won't hurt recruiting? I mean come ON. What about when we're blown out in the bowl game? Will that hurt recruiting?
Recruits are bound to notice that Weis's two teams have gotten fat on bad teams and, since the first USC game, have gotten blown off the field by every good team they've played. If it came down to ND or another school that's maybe, I dunno, WON A BIG GAME SOME TIME IN THE PAST TWO YEARS, I'd give that other school a hard look.

ND qualifies for a BCS Bowl now it's up to the Bowls to decide who they want to pick for their bowl?
If you were the Rose Bowl Committee making an economic decision would you pick ND or Boise St, UF, LOU, OU, LSU?

We will not be ranked in the top 8 at the end of the year, making it possible, but not mandatory, that we receive a BCS bid.
