I (vomit) think (vomit some more) Troy Smith deserves (projectile vomiting) the Heisman.

There is no way that Troy Smith is the so called best player in college football, people are now even saying he is the best qb ever to play at tOSU. I cannot wait until he leaves, I am so sick and tired of hearing about how good he is (which I do not agree with).
With the way that he torched Michigan yesterday it's pretty difficult to say that he doesn't deserve the Heisman.
ABC and ESPN are not going to let anyone else but Smith get it. They have campaigned for him most of the season and are already calling it game, set and match after today. Even those the second half was less than stellar on his part, he still didn't do anything wrong and the whole gang has given him the trophy. Hell, they probably let him take the trophy that was on the sideline for the Mich/osu game home with him so he can get a feel for it.
Tell ya what... let's see how Brady Quinn does against USC, and THEN we can hand out the Heisman trophy.
...not that I think Quinn has much of a chance, but hey, stranger things have happened. So let's let the games play out first.
Wow, I cannot belive I am about to say this but Smith deserves the trophy. Ok there I said it. No matter what quinn does agianst USC he does not deserve it Smith played up to his competition. He is surrounded with much better players and a running game that forces teams to play one safety up on first downs. He has shown agianst the same blitzes (michigan) he did not panic. As for moral charchter Brady is heads above him. Brady is an intelligent and gracious player. Smith takes money from whoever is handing it out. But these trophies do not take into account NCAA violations or moral charcter its about the same thing the NCAA is about MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! So until NY athletitic club changes there rules it will be tough to get good kids that trophy anymore. Ok I am done sounding like a bitter child who's mom hasn't kicked him out of the basement. God bless America and Notre Dame.
The thing that sucks about this heisman race is every major media outlet has Troy Smith as the winner no matter what. I mean, heck, they had a heisman trophy on the field yesterday to give to him after the game.
Just like Reggie Bush and USC, there is something about Smith and the OSU program that stinks. And in the end it would not shock me that after he has the Heisman we will hear some more dirt on him. But come NFL draft day, BQ will not have to worry as he is drafted light years before Smith is even thought of. Smith will be another Heisman that could not do anything after the hardware was handed to him (maybe ESPN will give him a job) For guys like Smith, its all about how good I look, than how good I am. BQ will be around for a long time and more than likley headed for a great career.
As much as I hate to give Mandel credit from SI---he finally admited that Smith sits in the pocket and throws the ball. Michigan finally flushed him out---but still Smith doesn't have the total package that BQ has. AND Smith's interview after the game stank like Leinert's post game interviews. Neither has any class or humility. Brady will go first in the NFL draft and we can only hope that after the USC game--he will take the Heisman.
GO ND--BEAT USC!
hahahahahahahaha
wow that was really funny. Wow.....man where do you get your stuff? Now, i come here often just to check in on the enemy, just reading and what not but i had to jump in.
BQ is a GREAT QB, dont get me wrong. Would I want him on my team? YES.
How does TS not have the total package that Quinn supposedly has? I guess making plays and escaping defenders doesnt count? I just dont see the logic.
And Smith not having any class or humility? Wow. Did you see his Gameday interview on College Football Final? Did you see any of his previous interviews? What did he say that makes him so "classless" or not having any humility? You want classless and no humility....look at Mike Hart's post-game interview.

It's almost like you guys have an inferiority complex. I'd expect that from BC, but not OSU.
I believe Troy Smith is deserving if he wins it and if Brady wins it he is also deserving. Usually the player on the best team wins it and Ohio State is 12-0. I hope Brady puts up 400 plus yards and 4 TD's to help his cause. Go IRISH!
If OSU wins the NC will you guys be able to stop hanging onto a game that happened a year ago? It makes a good team look bush league when you do that. Get over it. USC beat ND last year but they don't constantly refer to it. It's almost like you guys have an inferiority complex. I'd expect that from BC, but not OSU.

What are you talking about? Nowhere in my post did I make any reference to the Fiesta Bowl or any other game. I did, however, say that Brady Quinn is a great QB which i would like to have on my teams 9/10 times. So I dont see where you can come up with this.
Why? That's all I'm asking. If you give me a valid argument, i'll shut up. But just saying that he's not in the same league without anything else is wrong. Troy Smith has proved time and time again that he performs great in big time games, thus he's proved in 3 games against michigan and games against ND, UT, and Iowa (was big at the time). So I'm not bashing BQ, hes a great QB. All i'm saying is that there's no justification to your statement.

What we do know is this, Quinn's numbers and Smith's numbers aren't that different. The difference is Quinn is on the #5(BCS) team in the country while Smith is on the #1. To a normal person that isn't a fan from either side, you would give Smith the Heisman because of the accolades of the team and the individual accolades he will/has recieve(d).
