Ohio State came out with a public statment saying they wound entertain kids with felony criminal histories. Yet Pat says he gets text messages from Ohio coaches and last I heard he had a visit in October where he had to get special permission from the judge to travel because he was on a tether ankle braclett. Is this for real?

hadn't heard the "felony criminal histories" bit. but yes, he's being actively recruited by OSU while restricted by an ankle bracelet. I forget whether he has to wear it during football games or not.

FYI- If anybody is interested, Lazear ended up signing a LOI with West Virginia on 2/16/07. Apparently Pat was even too much for OSU to handle.
