Dude, I DO love you guys (#feels), and we have had some great games since Lou left. However, being an ND fan, I have seen and appreciate games before I was alive, or alive but not old enough to understand. That 1977 game was the year I started understanding football and with ND in my backyard and great, the green jersey game and Montana's time glows in my memory.

Fair enough! I've always known about all of those older games, but I've never taken the time to watch them. Perhaps now I will!

My earliest memories involve a Jarious Jackson loss to bc and an improbable blocked FG and Joey Getherall reverse to beat AF in OT. VERY faintly before that I remember absolutely loving Autrey Denson. This is all to say I have plenty to catch up on!

Catholics vs Convicts 1988 with '93 FSU game running a close second. I was lucky enough to be at both games and the atmosphere was ridiculous. The only difference was that in '88 you just knew that team was unstoppable.

This thread clearly shows that we have a lot of different generations represented on IE. That's one of the great things about this site.
But, we are talking about the greatest wins we have seen as individuals. What is the single greatest win in ND history? That is tough. In the 40's under Leahy? Rockne's win one for the Gipper? Ara against Bama?
Tough call.

Of game's I've been alive for:

- FSU in 93 was the first ND game I ever saw.
- BK beating USC for the first time in 9 years (I believe it was 2009?).
- Beating Michigan this year, 37-0.

2010. BK's first year as the coach.

Army, just over a hundred years ago. Led to an arms race, changed the game. Rockne perfected the forward pass!

Not one of the greatest games, BUT

Bob Davie's team emptying Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge was such a fun sight!!!

FSU '93....but it will always pain me because I know that BC loss was my first game and soon to follow.
Miami in '88
USC in 2010. It wasn't pretty or epic, but it snapped a long, long losing streak that should have never gotten started. BK is awesome, I hope he continues to slaughter Trojans. I remember I was on the edge of my seat at the end of that game...and if it weren't for some timely, easy drops from USC we may have lost again. It just felt so good to get that monkey off our backs.

Strongly encourage you to do so. Also watch the ND/WVU NC game. WVU was touted as having an NFL caliber offensive line and a great QB. Wasn't even close.
