B1G is 1-5 vs. Big5 and ND. That one win might be over the weakest member of the Big5 not in the B1G.
B1G will be heavy underdogs in 3/4 matchups this week and will only be a decided favorite in 1/5 matchups on 9/20. I'd be surprised if their record is better than 5-10 vs. Big5 opponents this year. So 5 wins from a conference of 14 teams. I'll bet there are at least that many losses to mid-majors. There are two already.

That's it folks. Jim Delaney is out trying to put spin on a sh!t sandwich, but the big drawback of the B1G expansion and B1G network has meant little room or incentive to play Big5 opponents.

Rutgers beat Washington State 41-38
Wisconsin lost to LSU 28-24
Northwestern lost to Cal 31-24
Michigan lost to Notre Dame 31-0
Michigan State lost to Oregon 46-27
Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech 35-21
(also - further embarrassments)
Northwestern lost to Northern Illinois 23-15
Purdue lost to Central Michigan 38-17

On 9/13
Maryland -3 vs. West Virginia
Illinois +14.5 at Washington
Minnesota +8 at TCU
Purdue +27.5 at Notre Dame

On 9/20
Maryland at Syracuse, close
Indiana at Missouri, heavy underdog
Iowa at Pittsburgh, close
Michigan vs. Utah, favorite
Nebraska vs. Miami, close

I mean, I knew they sucked, but that's some crazy data.

I heard the ACC went 11-0 this weekend not counting the ND game too. Looks like we bet on the right horse for the foreseeable future.

B1G is worse than you might think!

B1G is 1-10 vs. Big5 and ND. Again, that one win might be over the weakest member of the Big5 not in the B1G.

There are only 5 out of conference games remaining this season vs. Big5 opponents.

I wonder why PSU was granted bowl eligibility this year?

I could see the Big Ten losing all of those games. 1-15 would be amazing.
