So, so far he has 102 yards on 7 carries, 2 TD's on the ground and 38 yards in the air with another TD? Jeez. Those are insane yards to be putting up against the #7 team in the state. I don't care what state he's playing in.

They do play very good football in Pennsylvania though. I don't imagine he's playing against cream puffs from Maine.

That makes me feel very confident, because 1 of the main concerns for him was PA's lack of talent. Considering he's going off in a big way against one of the state's best. (Other concern was returning from a major injury).

Pennsylvania generally is pretty good at football. The competition concern stems more from the teams he plays in his league. However, the team he played tonight (coatesville) is typically a good team

Anybody got his finishing stats? I'd assume he played the whole game, since it was close at the half.

Hey Buster, what do you know of Pickerington Central from Ohio? Goose creek HS from here in Charleston travelled up there last week and lost 14-7 but were stopped on the last play from the 1.

OT but curious anyway.

Notre Dame's Eilar Hardy and Michigan's Taco Charlton are both from Pickerington Central. Good program, but not among the top Ohio programs.

Same with Goose Creek. Really good 4A program with losts of DI talent. The game looked like a slugfest and normally GC can score lots of points. Surprised they traveled that far. I can't think of a SC team going that far away other than maybe Byrnes. Thanks.

On my phone but here: CB South and Coatesville

Says 12 carries for 136 and 2TD which means he barely touched the ball the second half.

Not sure, but maybe it is because they had to rely on the passing game more in the second half. Those are pretty good stats considering he got most (if not all) of those in the one half.

don't quote me on this, but i think they try to load it up and pound offensively. they've had some good teams in the past, but would run into the NE or SW state powers and get beat in the finals or state semis

they're good, just like buster said not at the same level of other elite programs across the state.

It's weird. PA (yes I'm slightly biased) has some really really good football. The problem, in my unprofessional opinion, is that the type of football played in PA is different than what is in demand around the nation. Yes there are plenty of athletes, and teams do run spread offenses, but I do feel it suffers from that old school, B1G, belief of 3 yards and a cloud of dust. I think that's why you will see, again I have no actual data, that most PA recruits to larger programs seem to be front seven recruits (OL, DL, LB, TE) with a few QBs sprinkled in. Josh does seem like a pretty legitimate recruit though so far.

He was a Penn State lean, but he did not get an offer? Right? Do you guys think Penn State's increased scholly allotment could result in an offer, and deter him from coming to ND?

Not likely. PSU may have more allotments, but they already have 2 RB's committed at this point. If one were to decommit, then that's a possibility, but still not likely.

Why is it that we aren't more excited about this guy?

There is some concern over his level of competition from what I have heard. I dont know the area, so I am not saying that myself, just what I have heard. Still, even if it is weaker competition, he is still dominating and playing at a very high level. That is all we can ask.

I think it was pointed out earlier that Adams plays decent competition. They faced one of the best teams in Pennsylvania a week or 2 ago and Josh dominated. It's not Texas by any means, but Penn is definitely not a pushover state in football.

Extrapolation from a small set of data is extremely dangerous. But seriously.those stats...
