"How many times do I have to say the same thing?" Weis said. "People still call and they will continue to call. I always give the same answer.

"At this point, most everyone knows I'm staying here until they fire me or I die. I'm here for life. That's what I said I was going to do. Why would I not be a man of my word?
How can you not love this guy?

It does kind of bring a tear to the eye doesn't it...It makes me feel very confident in the future of Notre Dame Football.

Hmmm...his message seems coded. I did not find it clear at all.

(please note the sarcasm above)

Man, you really gotta love him...he does not mince words.

That can be arranged.

Damn Scoop, you're killing me again. I am laughing out loud in my office! I tried giving you more reps but was denied. To paraphrase Christopher Walken..."I got a fever, and the only cure is more Baghdad Bob!"

I love near the end of that article they mention Weis running into a bunch of drunken people outside his office at 4:30 am trying to steal a golf cart. To sum it up Weis drives them all home and tucks them into bed.

Is there anything the guy can't do?

Ah yes, but still flamers and ar-tards will feed us the standard "He's going to the New York Giants" crap with a side of "Last time ND won a bowl game...."

I don't think the man is going anywhere anytime soon. He's been coach for a season and a half.

I don't really believe he's going anywhere anytime soon. But just this morning I read this:

"Jerry Jones says the Cowboys will stick with the 3-4 defense and a two-tight end, one-back offense even after Bill Parcells is gone. With that in mind, don't be surprised if Jones makes a run at Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis, who is familiar with both systems."

He can "make a run" at him all he wants. He can run until his latest facelift peels off.

Let's say Weis does go to the NFL. I'll bet you all the ugly women in East Lansing Weis doesn't go to Dallas.

Jones can make a run at anybody he wants. Doesn't mean Charlie would do it. Hell, Jerry Jones can pay to have Vince Lombardi exhumed and offer the job to his bones. But chances are, the coach won't accept.

A reporter speculating that Jones may contact Charlie, doesn't put him any closer to leaving Notre Dame.

The Charlie to the NFL thing is speculation on the part of a few reporters and opposing fans.

LMAO, man that's one bet I don't care to win.

I believe CW will stay at ND for 8-10 years. If his health is good, maybe then a shot in the NFL, maybe not.

Bigger ain't always better, boys.

You think that Rutgers coach wants that Miami job? I'd think twice about that one.

Pete Carroll isn't going to the NFL. Too many headaches. And I don't blame him. He can stay at SC and become a coaching God on the West Coast.
