I've met hornung, when i was about 13. He was very disapointing. If you want to remember him fondly, don't meet him and forget his racist comments on academic standards.

That's funny you say that. I have a patient that told me he almost went to blows with "the golden boy" in a bar in NYC. He said Hornung basically crawled into the bar and when he went up to say hi, Hornung spewed out a bunch of curse words and told him to go f*** himself. My impressions is that he's a real prick.

I went to the UCLA game against Zona last week... and the Golden Bot wasn't there... The rose bowl was quite an experience... can you say "the parking lot is a freaking golf course!"

Met him in a local mall about 7-8 years ago.....as he was signing a poster I broke his balls for picking against ND on his TV show he used to have. "Did I really pick against them?" Yep, I said, and I just wanted to remind you. :)

Remembering Paul Horning...

Remembering Paul Horning...

Let's just say that Paul (in his heyday) could be seen in the early morning hours with a chick on both arms any night of the week. Once in Chicago in the 60's, we were at a late night breakfast joint and recognized him in a booth with two gals who were doing their best to prop him up between them.
