pretty good win...the offense looked much better, but the defense still has a lot of work to do.

Agree with everyone, good game, offense looked good, D still is kinda scarey.

If we don't shore up USC is going to have a field day.

That's the 4th undefeated team ND has handed their 1st defeat.

read the end of the quote...I said the D still has alot of work to do. The yards put up by Lymon doesn't take away from the fact that the offense finally looked a little better and Purdue is an in-state rival. It's a win and that's whats most important.

IMO, it's a win and that makes it pretty good.

CW on Travis Thomas. Took a shot to the ribs on last play of MSU left laying on the field. MRI was negative. Decided at last minute to hold him out. Grimes was also held out due to injury.

CW - Purdue has a lot of offensive talent, a lot of weapons, and will score a lot of points on other teams.

He was ticked at late 1st half score when defense was in Cover 3.

Q. Did Coach Haywood inspire Darius this week?

CW, "I encourage them to have a confrontation next Tuesday."

you think they hold Schwapp out for the Stanford game and then he can rest on the bye-week and then return the week after?

Q. Did you think about using Aldridge?

CW No, I was thinking more about using Munir. No point in puting in a guy with knee when they were playing everybody upfront.

Another question about Aldridge

CW I was thinking Munir. Aldridge has to earn his time.

CW, Morton's OK. Could have played, no sense to put him back.

Agreed. Although I'd be careful about assuming we cruise all the way to USC.

Some other thoughts:
Brockington played fairly well for Travis at LB.
Duncan looked good at RT.
Abiamiri is getting better with every game.
Darrin Walls...welcome to big time college football. He got schooled all day. Bound to happen sooner or later. He'll learn from it. Must suck getting benched outright though.
Zibby whiffs on a lot of hits this year.
Congrats Chase on your first catch.
Congrats George on your first TD.
Quarterback/receiver timing was much better today, yet Brady continues to throw behind his receivers. He's going to get someone seriously hurt if he doesn't correct this.
Terrail might be the defenses best tackler next to Mike Richardson.
Lots of arm tacklers out there still.
A real shame we couldn't put them away sooner so that we could've seen some of our fresh, young talent. I was really looking forward to a little Aldridge today.

According to CW post game it wasn't going to happen. He planned on Munir getting the snaps and so no point to putting Aldridge considering the nature of his injury, the defense being played, and - he stressed you have to earn playing time.

He goes for the Steve Atwater knock out shot way too often. Just hit em and wrap up. If he wraps up #1 (I should know his name considering the day he had)) Purdue may not score before half.

Holy Shit !
You guys are chatting DURING the game?
How do you do that?
How many hands do you people have?
You guys must type with "secretarial" speed.
Are you running back and forth or does everyone have laptops?

you use your hands to watch tv ndalumson?

Yeah. Remote control requires digital dexterity.
I don't start watching until about a half hour after the game has started so that TiVo can build up a little buffer. Then I review plays I think need to be reviewed during the game and then blow right by all the commercial breaks.
But even still, it's not the hands so much but the eyes.
How do you do that?
UP to watch the TV, DOWN to see the keyboard.
Up to watch the TV, DOWN to see the keyboard.
I'd get a freakin' headache.
But heh, I'm not complaining....just a little puzzled.

I just keep my TV right next to my computer. No laptop neccessary. :)

Of course, you should note that during the action, the posts tend to be quite brief, one short sentence, maybe two. They get longer during halftime and after the game, but typing one sentence doesn't take long.
