Very true, he needs to slow the game down instead of going full speed all the time. Let things develop and then make the hit instead of going full speed and missing the tackle.

On the flipside, he is responsible for many big plays playing this way. It's really a double-edged sword with him. If he becomes a textbook player, you lose his gamebreaking abilities IMO.

My big qualm with that play is bringing Duke on a blitz. You knew were a minute left they were going to go vertical. I'm really disliking the defensive playcalling by Minter. He's starting to wear thin on me. If there is a coach that isn't performing, it's him.

Agree with you Svo on Zibby, he makes huge plays at times but makes a lot of bad plays at times. But I still like him at a player, good player to have on a team. Minter needs to get his act together, hopefully some of these freshman start making him look good otherwise something needs to be done.

Yes, he is the one that sent both Crum and Duke on a blitz on that play. That's two defenders missing in coverage and it cost us. Sure, they should have made the tackle, but Minter calls these plays.

The safty blitz timing was horrible and you can place some of the tackling on coaching, but yeah at some point the players simply have to rap someone up rather than just leaping at them

I agree, you live and die with the blitz, but walls and z still should have made that tackle, you see Tom fly by with his head down going for the knockout hit, and wall's playing the ball. Just had to make the tackle and make 'em burn a time out instead of giving up the big play.
