of any comparisons between Charlie and Ty, positive or Negative. They are in a different league, period. This team would have crawled into a hole and lost by 40 two yrs ago. Great job CW.

GO IRISH!!!!!!!!

Willingham's team did beat UCLA today, and Fresno St. last week. With a Husky team that was wallowing when he took over. He deserves credit.

Credit is one thing, a comparson to Charlie is another.

Let's all move on from that.

NO DOUBT!!!! If I never hear the name Willingham in the same sentence with Weis again, I might JUST die a happy man. This program has grown in leaps and bounds since Weis has taken over. They are two different types of coaches and Charlie is just a tier above Willingham. Nothing against Willingham, but Weis was and STILL is a blessing. That move is so old by this point, I can't understand why everyone is continuing to bring up the past. It's not like we won a championship with Willingham, or even a bowl game for that matter. Charlie is going to change both in the near future. A bowl game win is the first checkmark for this year.

No doubt, let him go. Whether he's a good coach or not, he's not here anymore. Let the sites and fans for UW worry about him. I don't want to make excuses about his recruits being here. Some of his recruits are working out, some aren't and some aren't even here anymore. I congratulate him on UWs win today, but I'm done with him as far as ND is concerned.

No comparison, Weis is a way better recruiter and that is why I never compare the two.

You have to love how the person comparing the two saying one is in a different league thinks there shouldn't be threads comparining them.

I think most who don't hate Ty....are simply that...they don't hate Ty and realize he brought many good things to this team, and are offended at the hate people have for an Ex coach of ND.

I will root for success of Lou Holtz, Bob Davie, Ty Willingham and Charlie Weis...once they put on the Blue and Gold, I'm a fan

But then who will people blame for a Loss?

Hopefully not the say person you credit when we win, Ty Willingham. It's no secret you defend Ty to a point of lunacy.

You blame Ty's firing for the lack of depth and a dozen transfers but never Ty dont' you? Isn't this what you put on the ESPN board?

"There are 11 true freshman on the two deep. What does that tell you.

It tells me you are a complete moron who doesn't follow ND.

ND has 1 Freshman starter..on the oline which he is along 4 starting Seniors on the line.
-A 4th year starting Senior QB
-A 3rd year starting Jr RB
-2 Senior TE's
-2 Senior starting WR's

3 Senior D-lineman and one Jr
2 Senior starting Linebackers
3 Senior Starting DB's

When Weis got here ND returned 11 starters on offense, 8 of which return this year, and 9 returning starters on D...

BUt yea, the "cupboard was bare" because we don't have a ton of depth after a dozen transfers and Weis's first class pulling in 15 recuits.

Its like you don't even follow ND...

No most people arent idiots...you however are a giant one...

Isiah Gardner DB
Freddie Parrish DB
Labrose Hedgemon DB
David Wolke QB
Chris Vaughn WR
Chauncy Incarnato Lineman
Brandon Nicolas Lineman
Justin Hoskins RB
Treg Duerson DB
John Kadous Lineman
Abdel Banda LB
Joey Hiben TE

All Given full rides...all gone from the football team"

First that the class that pulled 15 was more Ty's than it was CW's. He did his best to savage it. Second, most of those transfers you listed had nothing to do with the Ty incident. Like Wolke, he went to Indiana cause he know he'd never see the field after CW came in. And Hiben? He had academic asperations more than football. Please FI9, don't be posting this and calling me an idiot.

Until Weis first three years are up, get used to it.

Through X amount of games, Weis' record is so and so. Willingham was so and so. Racism at Notre Dame went up 15% last month. African American players like Gary Gray and Arrelious Benn still verballing. Blah blah bullshit blah blah stupid dope moron comment inserted here blah blah blah accountability what? racist yadda yadda barf.

Squats done by ND football players in three years under Willingham during strength and conditioning: ZERO.

Most important number to me as far as I'm concerned.

But go Huskies. I hope they win all their goddamned games this year. TW will get credit for those wins and losses, just as Weis will get credit for his wins and losses here.

According to each school's media guide, they coach at their respective schools.

Stupid stupid dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.

Last time I looked, Hunk Anderson, Terry Brennan, Joe Kuharich, Gerry Faust, Bob Davie, and Ty Willingham still appear on the University's list of Former Head Coaches and UND still prints their pictures in the media guide along with Rockne, Leahy, Parshegian, Devine, Holtz, and Weis.

The names of the less successful coaches don't get deleted. They are forever part of ND history. Just like those that excelled.

They are part of our history but not part of our future.

To paraphrase The Bard, "The fault, dear Domer, is not in our shooting stars but in ourselves ..."

Hunk Anderson, Terry Brennan, Joe Kuharich, Gerry Faust, Bob Davie

All fired because they were white and before their contracts expired.

They are part of our history but not part of our future.

Says it all and that alone could delete all the threads and yammering about each and every one of them.

Davie's guys were doing squats, I assume.

To paraphrase The Bard, "The fault, dear Domer, is not in our shooting stars but in ourselves ..."

Nicely chosen quote. Or paraphrase rather.

Blaming the previous administration is a way of life in America. The Bushies are still blaming Clinton, 6 years later...
