- Has two classmates who are committed to the ND baseball team
- Hearing an offer is near
- Booker and McDermott are recruiting him
- Would be a school he looks at very closely but is wide open

I'll add that he is very big on academics. Also, is very interested in playing 3-4 ROLB. He's talked about wanting to play that position for the last 1 year or more.

I like that academia is important to him, so it shows a willingness to learn. Looks to me that he waits a split second rather than attacking. On one sweep, he got pushed back before making the tackle. I do like how he uses his hands to keep the linemen off his body.

Looks to me like they're not quite sure about him? Need to see some things in person to decide whether he makes the grade?

For Russell I think its more circumstances than actual ability. We brought in a house of pass rushers last cycle and this cycle I see us being selective with those offers. Thats not saying Russell won't get an offer because he's a solid prospect it just means that it may need to play out for awhile first. I'll add this. As of now we brought in 4 guys last cycle Hill, Williams, Trumbetti, and Blankenship with a similar skillset but probably better prospects.

This guy has great tape with a year to improve. And if he is 6'3 1/2" he is no Shembo, he is Shembo with about two extra inches. I couldn't tell, are his arms long?

He would be our rush backer Which is basically the same as a 4-3 end. It is what Ishaq and Romeo will be playing. We will see both In the 3-4 we will still be playing in a 1 gap system.

Per II, he's continued to be in contact with Booker. We're going to be stopping by during the spring eval period to check in with him. We'll know more about where we stand after that time. Sounds like the staff is trying to gauge interest from others prior to offering. Not sure he fits in to BVG's scheme and a 4-3 DE or a SAM LB.
