From what I've heard, all of the recruits had an excellent time while in South Bend despite the loss. Barksdale rated the trip a 10 and said he experienced a good nightlife, which was one of his major concerns. 2008 RB prospect Jonas Gray said he now has ND firmly in the lead and will visit ND again this year as well as visit MSU this upcoming weekend.

I think we're fine.

All scUM did was prove to these young guys that they're coming in to play very quickly when they arrive.

Barksdale was right: Laws and Landri have awesome technique, but they're too undersized.

Give Barksdale and Blackwell that kind of coaching. With their size, it is a given.

Yeah, we need about 2-3 big 300lb DL in there. Why do you think Auburn and LSU are so good at run stuffing? Laws and Landri are undersized. They still do a pretty good job, but it's harder to move those big 300lb behemoths.

I said this in several recruiting posts before... Winning isn't everything to these kids but if kids only went to teams that were undefeated all the time where would they go??? Mount Union I guess... Most of the 5 and 4 star guys want to hear we will give you a chance to go to the next level.... With Charlie's superbowl rings glaring at them when they sit with him, there is no better evidence then that.. We will be fine, maybe the loss will cost us with a couple of kids, but a couple of kids a recruiting class does not make...

I got a chance to see the recruits on campus saturday. they were walking right in front of TD Jesus, just kind of strolling along. My fiance actually noticed them because they were all wearing passes around their necks. I made a point of actually walking past Clausen and nearly brushing shoulders with him.

Clausen isn't as small as the haters have made him out to be. he was thicker than I expected, and he measured up well to me - I'm 6' 5", 230 lbs. I'd have to put Clausen at a solid 6' 1" - maybe a touch more.

there were some very big fellas in that group...wow.

Yeah...that loss has totally killed our recruiting. What's with this scrub Gray? #26 in the nation...We are ND. We have 25 schollies to give...Why the F are we giving one to #26. Our class should be loaded with numbers 1-25 on that list. The Michigan game obviously made us lose at least one of those Top 25 guys, if Weis is cutting his losses and offering Recruit #26. Damn Wolverines making us settle for Gary Gray!

I really believe they'll get the guys they're after because they'll need most of them in the two deep in 2007.

3-4 O linemen are gone, the starting QB, two WR. Two D linemen, maybe three, and two DBs with Zbikowsky most likely.

And they need linebacker help badly.

yeah, everything should be fine if we come out and play during the weak point of the schedule a couple of no shows there (a lot of bad memories of past no shows from the last ten or so years always has this in the back of my mind) and we could start seeing probelms with but not limitied to recruiting... and also, yeah getting it handed to us certianly doesn't help
