VV is 100% correct. Sam Young, a true frosh, is our best O lineman. If he isn't he's second to Ryan Harris. The interior is brutal. The rest of these guys show the middle name "Holding" on their birth certificates.

If you're here to cheerlead, sorry, but this was pathetic. I can take a loss, but not this. ND stood for No Determination today. There was no sense of urgency and zero discipline whatsoever on this football team. Goodbye NC, goodbye Heisman Trophy.

Michigan State will tell us all we need to know about this football team. Quite frankly, I'm very skeptical about how they'll perform up there. The magic honeymoon is over. It is time to dig deep, get some skin under the fingernails and get NASTY.

Make Nasty more than a t-shirt. Make an attitude and a way of life.

I agree Jigga....this wasn't a loss it was an absolute beating. We came out flat and unprepared and paid for it. I mean I know every game is a big game at ND but this was Michigan...Michigan, if you can't get up and excited for that you don't deserve to put on the blue and gold. Today Lloyd Carr totally outcoached Charlie, Charlie is a great offensive mastermind but he totally dropped the ball for this game and now it is up to him to hold this ship together or it could get really ugly. We aren't a Top 15 team and its a tragedy that we are going to receive so much heat for this loss....bottom line is we did nothing to deserve that #2 ranking and got exposed today. Hopefully we can bounce back and get MSU but right now I am really unsure about anything regarding this team. Sam Young is just that young but he will rebound and he is going to be a GREAT offensive lineman in years to come. The mental errors is what troubles me the most.

I've been saying our ol and dl was subpar our lb's are weak but in their defense I guess the refs decided prior to the game they were not going to call any holding on scum no matter how blatent it would be....tt was held practicly all game and hart is good enough to smoke our defense without the refs help...brady is great if he is not pressured...truly great qb's can handle pressure...he is not one of them...scum looked as good as we looked bad.

how far you think ND will fall in the rankings? out of the top 10 with this beat down? up to me, I put them at 11, still within striking distance if they win out, still a great shot a BCS. Hate losing, especially to michigan, but they were by far the better team, but better to get a loss out of the way now and still have a shot at a title or a BCS bowl if they can win out.

Double digit penalties-5 tournovers-and an overall carefree attitude = ASS WHOOPIN!!!! Quinn was terrible today. The o-line was terrible. The recievers were terrible ( 6 drops ). I actually thought the defense did a pretty good job against the run, but that opened up on our weakness=CB position. I don't care if Mcneil and walls ARE freshman, i'm tired of seeing #20 lambert get burned. The frosh could'nt do any worse and at least they would get some experience. Michigan new to attack him, it was clear in their gameplan. We'll see how this team responds this week against MSU. I havent given up on this team just yet. Where was the" NASTY" attitude charlie? Your the head coach so you gotta take the blame for not having this team mentally prepared. It was like a funeral out there. Don't tell me that Michigan has more talent than we do. We were outcoached+outplayed today and i'll reserve any more comment on this team until i see how they respond this week.

It was the fn turnovers that killed ND. This game just started bad and I don't know how Carlson dropped that pass. After that it was all down hill. Quinn looked like shit today throwing the ball and the td pass to shark was terrible. Shark saved him on that one.

I don't think you'll have a problem against MSU. Their offense is pretty good, but their defenses have always been horrible.

Like I've been saying all the time, Quinn is excellent when he has time. He'll get that against MSU, and if they blitz like crazy, there will be big plays because they don't have anywhere nar our talent on defense.

Until proven otherwise, the formula for beating Nd has been set. Pressure Quinn. That's pretty much the starting point. If you have the players, do it and you'll succeed.

This reminded me a lot of the Nd-OSU fiesta bowl last year.

got to be honest... I called to GT game right, struggle to the end either team can win.... called the Penn St. game right, Irish in a rout....

My gut feeling is Michigan will hand us our first (and maybe only) loss... It just seems the last five or six years or so if the teams are in fairly close comp. then the underdog wins, especially if the favorate is a National Champion contender... also Michigan is vastly underrated this year, they are for real just like us....IMO

You can kiss the Heisman bye Brady and a National Title because this was BAD!!!!!!!! Charlie needs a reality check and the Offense has to get an earfull of the game and the defense time to sit Pumpfake Wooden and Can't Cover Richardson and play Walls and McNeil. We lost a lot of recruits today because of the drubbing. I don't know if we can win against Michigan State. We looked like a Ty Losingham, Bob Davie and Gerry Faust team today. We didn't get off the ball better and play like a team that wants to kick your ass every game. I'm so upset with the way we played.

I hope next week we just flat KILL MSU by 45 pts Brady throws for 7 TDs and 500 yrds. We get the Shark involved and the offensive line plays better. I would switch Sam Young to Left Tackle and Ryan Harris to Right Tackle to give us more time. We better come out like Zibby did when he fought Bell we better look like that.
