I don't mean to rub anything in...just to give you some advice for next week.

Quinn must be protected. Whenever he's had pressure, he's been off. Think about it. Everytime he gets protection, he throws very well (like a Heisman candidate). But everytime pressure is applied (us and OSU last year, Gtech and us this year), he underthrows a lot and is generally inaccurate.

Rhema has had undoubtably the worst game of his career.

And then he makes a nice grab...

Way too much hype and people giving this team more credit then it deserved lead to big ego's and the downfall.

Amazingly, while your OL has generally been bad, the only bright spot has been true freshman Sam Young. He's generally contained Woodley today. Man I wish he had committed here.

This is a joke how many penalties there have been in this game...both coaches have no control over their teams.

I must have missed something I thought we were playing today without an offensive line.

Reevaluation

Reevaluation

At this point, a sober reevaluation is required. It's quite obvious that Michigan has revealed what many probably already suspected based on simple observation: this ND team has the potential to be good, but not great-- at least not this year. CW is still playing catchup and far too many deficiencies still remain for him to correct things in just a year. As some have suggested, perhaps other defensive coordinators are starting to understand and adjust to Weis' complex and shifting offensive schemes. But I think that may have played only a very small part in what we witnessed today.

Many of our problems seem to stem from a lack of talented interior d-linemen who are physical enough to plug the middle and collapse the pocket against talented o-lines, such as Michigan's. Compounding the problem, of course, is the scheme that Minter uses. I've never been a fan of his, even during his days under Holtz, and I doubt that he can build the type of dominating defense that is required to be a perennial contender for the national championship-- although I hope I'm wrong on that point. That may seem harsh, given that all the talent needed to build such a defense may not yet have arrived on campus. Once that talent arrives, only then will we be able to evaluate his performance fairly.

Given past disappointments, the team's recent successes have led to rather inflated, unrealistic expectations. If this team can rebound, win 9 or 10 games, and defeat a creditable opponent in the Gator Bowl, that's progress. Maybe not as much as we hoped for this season, but just think back to the days of Willingham and Davie if you require an infusion of optimism.

This will go down as one of the worst beatings in ND stadium history. We don't deserve to be Top 15 after this.

VV is 100% correct. Sam Young, a true frosh, is our best O lineman. If he isn't he's second to Ryan Harris. The interior is brutal. The rest of these guys show the middle name "Holding" on their birth certificates.

If you're here to cheerlead, sorry, but this was pathetic. I can take a loss, but not this. ND stood for No Determination today. There was no sense of urgency and zero discipline whatsoever on this football team. Goodbye NC, goodbye Heisman Trophy.

Michigan State will tell us all we need to know about this football team. Quite frankly, I'm very skeptical about how they'll perform up there. The magic honeymoon is over. It is time to dig deep, get some skin under the fingernails and get NASTY.

Make Nasty more than a t-shirt. Make an attitude and a way of life.

Congrats to Ashley McConnell on his first ever score today.
