I brought it up before, but I'm not totally sold on Alexander. I think he's a fine prospect, but DT and KR/PR/Playmaker/Differencemaker seems like such a bigger need than CB. I mean I wouldn't be upset if ND landed him or anything though.

I know it's been mentioned that Alexander could be a return man as well. But in the mold of MQ or IM? Would he ever have as much of an impact as Juju on the defense and in the secondary?

We're discussing above a potential numbers crunch. In the hypothetical game, I'd take Juju, MQ, IM, and any combo of the DT's before Alexander. But a lot of that opinion is just based on the way the team is currently constructed and its current make up-- the roster needs all those other players. I'm not sure the roster "needs" Alexander.

Of course it's highly doubtful Juju, IM, MQ, 2 of the DT's AND Alexander all will pick ND, but since we're playing the "what if" game...

I believe that Alexander would also return kickoffs and punts.

I actually think that besides getting at least 1 DT, Terrence Alexander is the most important get on the board.

JuJu, Quick and IM may have the most overall impact during their careers, but I think we are not as deep at CB as most seem to think, especially in regards to pure cover corners.

Alexander would be such a win in so many ways in my eyes:
1. He is a great cover corner
2. He can help in the return games / other special teams units
3. He brings in swagger and confidence to a position that demands it
4. He gets us into a POWERHOUSE program in Louisiana
5. It keeps all that away from Stanford

I would also add that I think there is a very good chance he could see the field at Nickel CB right away.

Is it possible to take all 3? If they wanted on board?

Great point. He honestly would probably be the most equipped guy on the team to cover a slot guy the second he enrolls. To me he is definitively quicker than Waktins and Butler. Kinlaw is an unknown, and I think everyone expects Russell and Luke to be the 2 outside guys.

I agree with everything Ironman says and I really want him though, I would like one of the offensive playmakers first.

As long as we get at least 1 DT (Mokwuah, Sawyers, Cage), 1 Offensive guy (Quick, IM, Nelson), and 1 DB (Alexander / Juju) I will be really, really happy with this class.

I feel that Alexander is more of a luxury than a need. Yes, it would be great to get someone out of a powerhouse in Louisiana. Yes, I think could be a really good player. Yes, I don't want him going to Stanford.

But I think we are so stacked with very talented corners in Russell, Luke, Butler, and Watkins. He would be a great add but I mainly want him so he doesn't go to Stanford.

I like Watkins a lot but he's more suited for the outside at this point. I think we get Alexander because we've told him there's a very good chance he gets on the field right away ala what Shumate and Luke have done the last two years.

That's barely a two-deep, plus there's a strong chance that Russell is gone after 2014.

We have other older corners like Jalen Brown and others. We are relatively deep.
