5-4 for ND Opponents, including two BCS Bowl champions is not too shabby.

I saw dialogue yesterday where the case for MSU in the title game was trying to be made... I say 'trying' because no valid point got anywhere past the fact that MSU lost to 'lowly, pathetic ND... 'Playing our schedule hurts our brand I'm convinced of that, it hurts the win total and does next to nothing in terms of any further respect...

So while 5-4 in bowls looks good for us, no one outside of South Bend gives a shit unless ND wins more games,....

Anyway, this is just me venting, move along.

Probably true. But if we were able to be in the double digit win column over the next three or four years, I think we would be more respected.

Considering that 2 of the 5 wins and three of our opponents were in the premier bowls I think does help show that ND does play a fearsome schedule, overall. And looking at how strong Clemson, FSU and MIA could be in the near future, our schedule won't be so dismissed....but it DOES come down to how many of those games you win, which is why I truly miss the days when Lou was coaching, because ND played the best nearly every week and more often than not came out the winner, for at five years in a row. We get back to that level of consistent winning, and I will be happy.
