Sweeet redemption!!!! Really wondering where they're gonna have College Gameday this weekend. Here in the Bend, or down at the LSU/Auburn game.

LSU/Auburn will be on CBS. So, that's a good question......maybe they'll just stay at the Bristol Univ.

ND and AUB both leapfrog USC.

Like in the Coaches Poll OSU solidified their hold on #1 picking up Texas's 1st place votes and 6 from ND, 3 from WVU, and 1 each from AUB and USC.

Tennessee dropped 2 spots after the escape from the Air Force at home. FSU didn't drop at all despite their narrow escape from Mighty Troy.

Iowa also dropped 2 after struggling with 'Cuse.

Michigan dropped one slot to 11 when UGA jumped over them based on a better opponent.

ND opponents:
4 USC
11 UM
25 PSU

ORV
29 GT
30 UCLA
36 PU

Here's how the most generic, useless reply to this topic would go:

"""Guys, the only ranking I care about is the one at the end of the year"""

I hate it when people say that.. because it's like........everyone already knows that.

If Gameday is in South Bend be prepared for "ND Media Bias" screams like you've never heard before.

Of course that might be prime factor in making the decision. Get those haters tuning in.

I'd bet that they're down on The Plains at Auburn.

I don't think they will be in South Bend. They did the ND/GT game two weeks ago and they like to move around a bit. I am pretty sure it was announced that they will be at the ND/USC game (duh). If I was a betting man, I would say that gameday is in LA for the SC Nebraska game.

Uh, uh.

They've already got Nov 25th, ND at USC, on the calendar.

Did the pollsters not watch Florida State? They almost lose to Troy at home, but drop less than ND after GT. I don't see how anyone who watched Free Shoes U play this year could rank them in the top 10.

Also, the ABC Saturday night game is USC/Nebraska. Isn't Gameday going to be at whichever game is the "ESPN on ABC" game all season long?

I would assume so.

And ya, I'm almost positive that the gameday crew will be at USC for the Nebraska game.

Gonna be tough getting that #1 ranking. Ohio State looks tough, but we all know the Big 10 can be tough on teams though. If we get through these next 2 games with a win. I think we will be in good shape heading down the stretch.

The Michigan State game (Sept 23) is also an ABC game with an 8pm EST start time. I don't know if it will be THE game of the week for ABC. IF ND and MSU both win this week, mabe some voters try to get MSU ranked at 25 to increase the hype?

Knowing it is one thing. ACTING like you know it is another. See last week's weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth after ND's post-GT drop. Thankfully, it's not nearly as bad this week since we're back up again, but I've still seen a post or two around today wondering why ND isn't #1.

So, I'll play the role of Captain Obvious and point out -- again -- that we don't need to be #1 right now.

When people stop complaining that we're not ranked #1 yet, I'll stop pointing out that we don't need to be #1 yet.

SC-Nebraska will mask ND much the way OSU-Texas masked ND-Penn State.

I think it is better off that way. Any way to lighten the throng of media.

SC is going to murder Nebraska.
