Brady using his brain. Look for Carlson sitting on the goal line.

Why call the timeout right there?????
Did you see the two PSU defenders walking (running, but VERY slow) off the field? We should have got up and snapped it. 5 yards, stopped the clock and we'd still have 25 seconds.

Well, this game is over. PSU has some good parts. They're just not ready yet. However, I remain cautiously optimistic about next week. I think we can run the ball on this defense quite well. Two things needs to happen though. Quinn needs to be pressured, and Henne has to make some accurate throws.

This game should be 28-0 but could also be tied 14-14 if a couple bounces went the other way.

I want to see a match race between Joe PA and Charley running off the field at halftime!

Who would win that??

That is an awesome drive to absolute mindfuck the PSU psyche going into halftime. The game was just 6-0 with 7 or so minutes to go. To have a sputtering ND offensive unit jam 2 TDs down your throat... man, not good.

Yikes. I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the Penn State locker room.

So you're giving us what 10 points? 2 TDs since we have a QB that can't handle pressure and an OLine and DLine that evoke repeated cries of "Terrible" from their own fans?

Hard to believe from reading this thread that ND is up 20-0 over the 19th ranked team.
Quinn is 19-27 230 yds 2TDs 0 ints 166 Efficiency Rating
Gioia is perfect.
ND's defense has held PSU to 122 yds TOTAL OFFENSE
ND's defense has held PSU to 24 plays
ND's defense has held PSU to 9 minutes Time of Possession
ND's defense hasn't allowed a point for 60 minutes of play.

Guys, I think we need to appreciate the effort laid out in the first half. Was it a perfect half? No... but this is one of the better squads in the Big Ten with an absolute fantastic defense. I'm very impressed.

I think next week's game will be close. But I can tell you one thing. We won't make those mistakes. Next week will be a revenge game. And we will be ready.

I do think Nd's defensive line is not that good. The LBs play well but are undersized. I think we will be able to establish the run next week, and I think we will have a time of possession advantage. But it will be up to Henne to make those 20 yard playaction passes. And Quinn needs to make his deep throws. It will probably come down to which QB can make the deep throws, as both teams' secondary are quite average.

I do not think Walker can run against our LBs. If Weis sticks to that run up the middle plan too long next week, we can take an early lead.

The key will be which team controls the game. If we can control the clock with a running game, we can afford to attack more on defense, which we did quite successfully in last year's game.

However, if Nd gets any momentum, I'm going to expect my team to get rattled. It's harsh, but Carr's teams have always had a thin psyche in the first road game.
