They revise the list as the season begins? I don't understand the timing there.

What are they basing this on? Combines and camps from summer?

The second edition of the 2007 Rivals100 is out with a few big changes. Linebacker Chris Donald makes a huge move up the charts from the middle of the 100 to five-star status based on additional evaluation. However, the new list consists mostly of familiar names. How far did Donald move up and what other changes were there?

Donald, a 6-foot-2, 220-pounder from Huntingdon, Tenn., moved from No. 49 all the way up to the top linebacker slot and just outside the top 10 at No. 11. Donald is joined by Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab safety Chad Jones and Gilmer, Texas, athlete Curtis Brown. No one dropped from five stars to four.

Some other five-star shifting occured. Avondale (Ariz.) Agua Fria defensive end Everson Griffen moved up to No. 4, swapping slots with Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian running back Caleb King, who checks in at No. 5.

Based on a tremendous Elite 11 performance, Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic quarterback John Brantley jumped into the top 10. Anaheim (Calif.) Servite linebacker Chris Galippo is still ranked high, but dropped out of the top 10 to No. 15 due to the rise of Donald.

Coeur d' Alene (Idaho) Lake City offensive tackle Carson York made the biggest jump of any prospect as he bolted from three-star status to the No. 78 slot overall. Gardena (Calif.) Serra defensive tackle DaJohn Harris made a huge jump as well, rising from outside the Rivals100 up to being ranked as the No. 35-ranked prospect in the country. Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson quarterback Stephen Garcia was the last quarterback selected for our first Rivals100 but jumped into the top 50 (No. 49) after an excellent Elite 11.

Others making a jump include Lynn Haven (Fla.) Mosley running back Enrique Davis (No. 74 to No. 54) and Racine (Wis.) Park tailback John Clay (No. 66 to No. 56).

In addition to York and Harris, new additions to the Rivals100 are Bastrop, La., wideout DeAngelo Benton, Lufkin, Texas, wide receiver Dez Bryant, Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison offensive tackle Martin Coleman, Coatesville, Pa., defensive end Derrick Morgan, Lutcher, La., defensive tackle Rolando Melancon and Marietta (Ga.) Kell running back Jonathan Dwyer.

Notables who dropped off the Rivals100 include Phoenix (Ariz.) Moon Valley offensive lineman Javario Burkes, Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern defensive tackle Ted Laurent, Durham (N.C.) Hillside athlete Greg Little and Lancaster (Pa.) Manheim Township quarterback Pat Bostick.

As this is the "Second Edition" of the List that sounds reasonable.

Pre-Evaluation, PreSeason, PostSeason, and the Final List. (Plus as many times as they can generate more hits).

They have limited film on some of the prospects. With reviewing the film, they bumped some up. I don't think they moved people down, but they slid naturally for the jumping of other prospects.

Not to mention we just lost out on some of the others, Tyler, Wilson(i think he was top 100), etc. We certainly are recruiting with the elite again. Unreal how far we have come in 2 years. GO IRISH!!!!!
