I survived Faust, (I think I have a T-shirt that says that) I can handle anything
bingo! I was gonna post essentially the same thing minus the t-shirt. my dad would rather hunt or fish on Saturdays instead of watch football. During the Faust period he'd come home and say "Notre Dame lose again today?" Not with a smile or meant as a jab towards me really.....now that I think about it, he might have been subtlely suggesting I'd have been better off out in the woods or the boat.

Why would you even ask a question that dumb. I hope that most people here are TRUE Irish fans and enjoy everything about them, win or lose.

I will always be a fan...can't imagine rooting for anyone else.

That being said, 0-12 would definitely separate us true fans from the bandwagoneers.

Heck, 5-6 does that quick enough.

I would burn all my Irish clothing, use my ND diploma for toilet paper, and then go on a shopping spree for Michigan gear.

Is this a serious thread?

I don't think you are going to find anybody in the IrishEnvy community who would state they are bandwagon fans. I don't think anybody will take this thread seriously. I guess we will all just have to stick around for 10 years or so and wait for ND to start losing. And then we will see who is still around.

But you can't except anybody to come onto this thread and say "yes, I'm a bandwagon fan." If somebody did that, they would lose all credibility in future posts.

...even if they actually are bandwagon fans.

Lots of us love Notre Dame for far more than the football program.

I wouldn't love it any less if we cancelled the football program (not that I expect that to ever happen). It's unlike any other college in the country, Catholic or not.

No prizes for quickest to 500 posts, plus IrishEnvy.com legend irishgo8 would have won that in a landslide. As jigga and others could recall, I think it took him a day or two to get to 1,000.

Anyhow, I see his point. It was proven to me and my wallet in looking for tickets. Since Holtz has been gone, getting tickets was a simple affair. Now you're forced to shell out 3-5x face for a lower tier game like Stanford.

They're going to come out of the woodwork, folks. They always do.

They're the same assholes that sold their tix to Nebraska fans that year.

If Notre Dame went 0-12, I think it is safe to say that some people would lose their jobs. Fast. It would be an unfathomable complete and utter disaster.

What if they lose 3 or 4 games this year? Then we'll see who is fair weather and who isn't.

If I could survive Davie and Willingham, I'm pretty sure I'm loyal to a fault.

Just do us a favor and use some punctuation every once in awhile.

It's not just the bandwagon guys...it's also people willing to travel.

I know getting back to SB from Oregon is quite an affair... But if my buddy (a guy who I went to H.S. and ND with) got two tickets for USC vs ND and asked me to come...I would make a point of it.

However, in other years I might not have...knowing that I would not want to shell out that money to see us get waxed in LA.
