Hard fought is an understatement! It was a lot of luck, tbh, and only my first win of the season. Seriously intense game that came down to the wire.

Tied up in the 4th I threw my 2nd pick of the game with just a few minutes left to go. I thought it was over there, but ended up getting one myself, the only turnover I picked up. Nearly lost the ball on a fumble as I tried to drive back down the field to kick that field goal. I've also never been iced on a field goal kick. It looked like it was going to go wide left, but it hooked back inside and barely made it over the cross bar. You nearly broke the ensuing kick return for a TD too.

Seriously tough game, and Storm Johnson is a beast for UCF! It took a lot of 8 man fronts just to try and slow him down. Even with those 8 man fronts, I think he still nearly gained 100 yards. Great game, it could have gone either way.

I uploaded the final kick to the Online website. It was only a 38 yarder, but I think icing my kicker shortened his range. The ball just barely went over the crossbar when you watch the replay.

I'm scheduled to play Bruce but he needs to autopilot/retire before I can play my game.

I'll be working 8am-12am tomorrow, just trying to figure out if I'll need to suck it up and play it tomorrow right after a long day.

Advance is scheduled for midnight tonight. I'll push it to tomorrow night, since even if you play right when you get home, I will not be home to advance until 6pm PST/9pm ET.

Just means we will have one less day for next week, so please get on your games early!

EDIT AGAIN: Hopefully Snakes and I can knock our game out before Sunday, I will be traveling to Houston all day in hopes of landing a great job. By the way, I know you do some graphics related stuff Andy...I'd love to check some out sometime. Well, a 17-14 Bearcat victory in which we ran the ball right at Aaron Lynch all day long has just been rendered useless by an end-of-game freeze. I was letting it role through highlights on it's own like always so as to prevent a freeze... the irony when it froze! I don't have time to play it again tonight, so I guess go ahead and roll the advance. Fvcking EA.

Breaking News ESPNPS3: Rutgers defeats #3 Louisville 31-28!

Louisville intercepted the 1st pass of the game from Greg Nova giving them great field position and quick TD. Louisville went on to return a punt return for a TD near the end of the 1st quarter.

Rutgers responded in the 2nd quarter aggressively scoring 21 points forcing 2 turnovers from the Heisman hopeful Teddy Bridgewater, making it a 21-21 tie at half.

Rutgers Nova connected to TE Carrezola for a 40 yard TD.

Louisville went on to tie the game early in the 4th on a 6 yard strike. Both teams had multiple positions in the 4th but Rutgers connected on a deep pass on 1st down to help milk the clock forcing Louisville to use all of their timeouts. With :25 left Rutgers nailed a game winning 39 yard FG.

Louisville had one last shot but Bridgewater was sacked for a huge loss taking the clock down for one last incomplete pass.

Online Dynasty Update

So there was a minor miscommunication, parly on my part, with someone dropping that wound up pushing an advance a day. And then there was some ramifications that affected a couple players from scheduling their game and furthered the delay.

This of course compounds and the net result is we basically lost an advance cycle, because I'm not going to advance when everything is upside down schedule wise and 80% of the O.D. hasn't played because of the half week shift.

Lesson learned: Plan your player versus player games a week ahead and according to scheduled advance times. Advance bumps should be for extenuating circumstances. Just look at your schedule and PM the player you're matched up against next week now. We're getting into conference play now!

Next advance is the scheduled advance on midnight, Wednesday, South Bend time.
