If we land Benn, Martez Wilson, Ben Martin (and I firmly believe we will), Ryan Miller, Michael Williams or Marcus Gilchrist, Greg Little, Harrison Smith, Golden Tate (if we offer), Dailey (if we can offer), and Will Blackwell, this will be an incredibly successful class.
As things stand, we're in the lead for every one of those names I mentioned, with only three close exceptions: Gilchrist, Martez Wilson (but Miami has to offer), and maybe Harrison Smith. Smith is in Tennessee, so we'll just have to see how that works out.
I think the running back situation is a little over-hyped. We won't need to get one this year if we can find a truly elite recruit in next year's class. If Weis can go out and find a prospect of that caliber this year and recruit him in the same fashion as Jimmy Clausen, it can be done.
I think Toryan Smith will prove to be our future MLB (and a damn good one), while guys like Martez Wilson and Nagel can play on the outside. I saw Nagel's film last night and liked what I saw. I think he's a lot better than he's given credit for. He might be an all-american one day.
