Hey Andy, were we not starting as OC's and DC's? I mean apparently not but I thought I had asked you about that and we both agreed there was totally more point this year to starting as coordinators and taking your levels with you as a head coach? Did I just imagine this?

I like starting as a coordinator myself and working your way up. Adds some challenge to recruiting as well since you can't directly affect your HC's recruiting skills.

I totally thought we were? You build up to the HC position and when you get there your staff is better anyway (since they get as many points as you earned too). Does anyone have interest in doing it that way?

Sorry, not trying to stop the draft rolling or start us over...I just think it makes more sense to start as coordinators and for the first time ever it's actually worth your time to do so. Thoughts Andy?

Of course, would head to head even work as coordinators? As one HC vs. a coordinator? When you earn a level as an HC do you get one for your OC / DC too?

I think head to head would work fine, although you may run into circumstances where two OC's will be facing each other, but playing against CPU defenses?

I can tell you for certain that when your HC earns a level your OC / DC do NOT gain a level. OC's and DC's gain experience just like you do, but not as quickly. Other players have said it's supposed to be something like...every 2 HC levels is equivalent to 1 coordinator level, but it may be slower than that even if you ask me. Basically CPU coaches level up slower than User coaches.

We discussed the possibility of starting as coordinators, but the intention is to start as head coaches.

It's at the stage where if we're going to make a change it needs to be NOW.

What do you all vote for?

Coordinators:
PRO: Build up your coordinator tree.
CON: CPU blows your game calling on other side of ball.

Head Coach:
PRO: Control your entire team.
CON: Coordinators level through coach xp (slowly)


Because I want to enjoy all the benefits of all the conference play right away, I vote H.C., but if enough want to start as coordinators we can do that.

I vote Coordinators first...make us truly earn it. But could we play head to head? In the event we all don't start as coordinators:

ESPN3 reports rumors that with the sixth pick the University of Central Florida names complete unknown Andrew Sloan to head coaching vacancy after current head coach, George O'Leary, found lying about his résumé once again. Mr. O'Leary's post graduate degree found to have been awarded from a women's aerobics college and not in any way useful for coaching men's division one football!

Looks like were going the H.C. route. And while I started my off-line dynasty as a def. coordinator, I totally understand starting as a H.C. to get user versus user conference play being actual player versus player.

Everyone should PM me for a friend request on PSN, user name: Odywon . I will send invites as requests come in. As for when we're starting, I want to have everyone in, and give them the weekend to red-shirt and set up their board / spend their scouting points. Goal is a Sunday midnight advance into Week 1, aligned with the advance times.
