Was going to write the program last night, but I drank whiskey and sang songs with friends instead. My bust. Writing program now.

It's just going to take our assigned numbers and do a random draft order. Anything to tide you fiends over, haha.

I'm with ya, Steve. I rarely play humans, and this is my first Online dynasty, so picking at #9 I'm startin' in the hole I don't shy away from a challenge though, and I like building up teams more than taking over a powerhouse.

Excluding the outliers (Louisville, Memphis and Temple), most of the teams are pretty similar... they each have a few "studs," some nice attribute players (player A has a low overall rating, but has great speed/acc to work with), and a decent crop of young players.

With recruiting being a bit more difficult in this installment (at least in my experience), I'll be satisfied with any team as long as I have the chance to jump to a different program in a season or two haha.

F.Y.I. if no one jumps in on the 10th spot by the time the 4th team chooses we're just going to keep drafting, effectively bumping 6-10 up one spot. And giving Steve a stay of execution by allowing him not to pick Memphis.

We kind of have to pick on here first, because joining the league requires you to choose your team.

I might pickup Memphis for the hell of it actually. It would be a fun school to build up, and the Liberty Bowl is not a bad venue. #3 in potential attendance in the AAC at 61,000. If I don't take them I'll probably look to going somewhere like Texas State next season if the job opens up

I actually thought about Memphis too as a rebuilding job, but recruiting is tough enough as it is (though I have only gone through 1.5 season in offline dynasty so far, maybe I just haven't discovered the "trick").

I've done 3 seasons as Texas State in offline in NCAA '14 as their OC. Their HC wouldn't move on, so now I'm finishing year 3 under the Fighting Davies of New Mexico as their HC. It usually takes 3-4 full seasons at least to get a rebuild going. I redshirt a lot of decent players that first year to help extend their playing years and make them competitive by their Junior and Senior years. I pump all my Coaching skills in Recruiting, and I've been taking my visits early to try and land a recruit before I get mired down by a recruiting battle with bigger programs. The first year or two you have to focus on mostly 3 star recruits, otherwise you're reaching and probably won't land the higher guys. Picking up JUCOs helps too. Overall recruiting is a challenge though because your program isn't selling anything besides Playing Time, and maybe Playing Style/Proximity depending on how the team performs and the recruit's location. After a few good seasons the recruiting gets much easier.
