This is ridiculous. Roberts made ND games exciting just by his charisma and love of Notre Dame football. I would turn the volume down on the television whenever morons like Hammonds or Criqui would call the game on the TV (especially when that over the hill fool Jackson or Musberger would commentate the games)just to listen to Westwood 1 because they were horrible (Oh Nelly). I've been a long time fan of Tony Roberts and I feel that there is more to the story than what is being told. I'm guessing he and Pinkett got into it again and one had to go. My opinion, they picked the WRONG ONE!!!!

South Bend - Don Criqui is replacing Tony Roberts as the radio play-by-play voice for Notre Dame football. Roberts has announced Notre Dame football games for 26 years. Criqui, a Notre Dame graduate, was the play-by-play announcer for the team from 1974 to 1976.
