Sports Illustrated came out with a thing called the "Fortunate 50". It's the 50 most paid athletes in America. Mayweather is the most payed and it's not even close. He earned $90 million last year while Lebron James came in second place with $56 million.

What's crazy is that Mayweather doesn't have any endorsements, so 100% of that $90 million was won in the rink.

Yep PPV fights cost $60, $70 for HD and he easily sells a million for each fight.

Try to look at it this way, Mayweather left HBO for Showtime and he signed a contract guaranteeing him at least 200 million for 6 total fights over the next 30 months. A 30 month 200 million dollar contract, that's less than 3 years.

Dang, just think how much it would be if boxing was popular? Like it was in the 70s through the 90s.

Lol at Zack Greinke being in the top 10. I guess this is figuring in signing bonuses too.

And how does Peyton only have $13 million in endorsements? He used to be in every other commercial on tv.

I was wondering myself how Phil has more in endorsements than Tiger. If this was pre-scandal I bet Tiger has double the amount of Phil.

I think it's specifically their 2012 pay. Signing bonuses would explain Drew Brees making that much.
