Have you tried a donation section, or even a fund raiser. Or say kinda like an ebay bidding thing for ND items? Just trying some creative thinking to generate some income. If anything just to pay for itself.

We have all of those here. There are ads for eBay for Notre Dame stuff, which we get a small %, plus we have the Varsity Club membership.

this is the truth....jigga's insightful analysis is what makes this my first stop everyday....visiting all the other websites i find stuff that has been posted/discussed here two days ago...also though, i think the members of irishenvy help make this the best ND website because everything spoken about is relevant and you won't get murdered for a simple typo or asking a question that was asked ten minutes earlier...also, serious questions are usually met with good answers...sure i love a little comedy too but when every thread is met with just a bunch of quirky one liners that have no relevance to ND athletics, it defeats the point of posting in the first place...here i get smart informed answers with a good balance of comedy and enjoyment and for that i thank all the members of irishenvy...the combination of similar Domer fans along with jiggs info is what make Svoboda's Irish Envy the best...period. Oh and how about big thanks to Svoboda for the work he does on the site and keeping this place alive.....we appreciate it.

I love that about this site, I have just joined but already by reading everyday it just seems that we are all a huge part of the Irish family, and I love it. I would like to add my appreciation to those so aptly summarized above with regard to the "body of work" that he contributes to this site. I, too, start my daily visits to the Notre Dame fan sites with Irish Envy because of his what must be tireless, time-consuming efforts to keep us all informed on developments regarding the insanity that has become college recruiting. This has become especially true since Coach Weis has revitalized the football program at the school. Since I joined this site, I have grown to respect his opinion; whether I agree with it [90% of the time] or not!
But beyond the information and updates, I would also like to add my "hazzahs" to the professional method in which he has dealt with me and many of the other posters on this site. Despite the inane, asinine nature [speaking of myself here] of some of the questions/comments directed his way; I can't think of one instance where he did not handle the reply with style and grace. Unfortunately, I DO NOT KNOW JIGGA. But I believe that it his demeanor in managing the site is the reason why I have no reservations about "picking his brain" for information and explinations on matters relating to football. This, to me, is the realmeasure of a man! Thanks, Jigga, for what you do to make this the top site on Notre Dame football.

Minus the Duck invasion and a guy telling us his brother smells like cabbage (friggin classic), I can pretty much assume that this board will be free of the sophomoric moronic ignorance that takes place on most other boards. Irishenvy is all business, and Jigga can be categorized as just that. Forget the OT threads, the flaming, the what have you. Let's get down to football. (Yes, I am responsible for the Jason Kates thread that turned into a discussion about cheese)

I mean, where else can you go and find constructive thinking from a MICHIGAN fan on an ND board? (Maison, you're cool in my book) And even our disagreements amongst each other share one thing in common: All we want is to see ND win and continue to produce men of character on and off the field.

My grandfather is gone, my dad is getting close to retirement and I am almost 30 years old. Add in Charlie Weis and I've become obsessed with this school and team more than ever. I saw my first National Championship at age 10. Almost 20 years later, I've been waiting to see a second. I appreciate what Notre Dame means to me and my family now more than ever even though I never went to school there. It is more than just a football thing for me. There could be no football and I'd still love Notre Dame, if that makes sense.

Domer95 and I talked about this via PM. There is a spirit and a meaning about Notre Dame that goes deeper than football. You don't need to have been a student there to understand it. Ulimately, that is what binds us here on this board. And yes, we're probably all football fanatics to begin with anyway.

I can't wait to be there Saturday. Maybe I can get the "Bush Push" detoxed out of my system since I haven't been back since. As I walk through campus, I'll look up at the Golden Dome and point to the sky for Irishenvy.

I agree that this is the best board in the land and I appreciate the opinions all of you on this board. I agree that 90% of the talk on here is SERIOUS ND FOOTBALL TALK, but I am as guilty as anyone for throwing in the occasional movie line here and there just for poops and giggles.

This is the first and last thing I do when at work (and usually sneak in some Irishenvy time several other times throughout the day) and I appreciate all of the info. that I get on here. Thanks Svo and Jiggs for making Irishenvy what it is today.

i think we all feel the same way....incredible Notre Dame news with just the right amount of comical relief (i loved the Kates thread and the brother smelling like cabbage was hilarious....reminds me of my little bro ndstevie....)and a lot of brotherly love........................as far as the ND spirit....i never attended ND, I've never been to a game, hell i've never been to Indiana.....but the ND spirit runs deep in my blood....my dad grew up loving Notre Dame and he wanted to play baseball for them....unfortunately he never got the opportunity (ended up playing JC ball in Texas)....anyway he was amazed at my love for ND.....he never told me to like the irish....he never made me sit down and watch the game....he never even told me that he wanted to play for them....one day i saw an irish game and i was hooked....the rest is history....my day thinks its heriditary......who knows maybe it is jiggs.....at any rate, best damn site for ND football and a good laugh....first and last site i check daily.....thanks svoboda, jiggs, and the rest of the posters who make this site what it is.....
