Still no used PS3 I can find for less than $160, which I think is a bit much. Even if it is a newer "slim" model. Plus been playing Bioshock last two days.. that **** cray, cray, but I need my football fix..

Nah, just an observation. I think we all had classes with 21-22 recruits the first year or two. Was really more surprised in Lion's class size since he's been at the helm there for a few seasons. I was going to just look at his roster out of curiosity, but EA servers weren't responding (typical).

Really sucks to have to try to find a PS3 right now as PS4 is just far enough away the market is still holding firm and the inevitable price plummet is months away.

I have 17 available spots in my class, and I think I've signed 21 (unless the computer is signing guys for me now). I like to sign the guys I know I can get early, and then check out the 4-star guys that haven't been recruited late in the game.

For example, I'll be moving one of my committed TEs to fullback, and cutting a fullback and a TE that aren't rated as highly. I got in on a good TE late that hadn't been offered by anyone. I signed two crappy fullbacks and a TE early on as insurance.

I was wondering why a player of your caliber was recruiting a FB at all, lol. Blocking TE position change is where it is at (since the game will reward you with a 40 OVR FB if you try to eliminate the position).

I'll recruit highly-rated fullbacks hard if they have interest when I set up my recruiting board. They generally have great ACC rating compared to converted TEs, and I like to use my FB in single-back formations in short-yardage situations. ACC is key.

However, a converted blocking TE is almost always rated more highly than the best FB when you change their position, as you said; they usually don't fit my preferred skill set though.

Now that is some interesting ****. So I took a quick look (only our rosters and my recruits; since I didn't scout yours) and I'm just not seeing the ACC advantage. Top-tier blocking TE's are just statistically superior across the board, not to mention the landslide in pass catching stats. Is there a prime example you can point to?

Although, point very well served that I do flex my TE's out a bit and you run a devastating smashmouth ground attack. So it really is three positions recruiting (TE->FB, TE [receiving/balanced], TE [blocking]).

There has to be some reason they even put a statistically gimped position group in the game (it is EA, so all bets are off), right?

1) All players in the incoming class are listed as FR(RS). I'm sure this is just a display mistake and would not effect functionality, however..

2) Changing a position does nothing. Moved an athlete to QB? No, you didn't.

Glad the computer recruited/signed an extra 4 players for me and used all of my scholarships... It's not a huge deal, but still aggravating that the computer disregards your settings at the end of recruiting.
