To recap, I thought they did an ok job at updating the rosters but this game continues to be extremely frustrating with being restricted to 70 players on a roster, especially when ND produces constistant highly rated recruiting classes. Too many good players get left off the game which damages the credability of said game.

Do you mean how to get rid of em? Or add them?

I'm pretty sure these guys used an offline program called "Xanathol's Roster Editor" to edit everything, I think you can add double numbers there....but to get rid of them you would just have to edit them manually on the game.

I wish a gaming company would produce a sports product to push EA. IDK if the up and coming company fails, but I want EA to make some improvements. After all, fear is the best motivator!

I agree. Even if a company just does some wildly different things to a game compared to EA like having 85 man rosters, putting in a spring game, including a practice mode/offseason workouts that actually improves player ability through gamer skill, a more advanced/immersive dynasty mode and some other fun and refreshing ideas I think consumers would really take a serious look at a game like that. EA has added and dropped more good ideas than I can count instead of building on them.

I like my dynasty to be advanced and immersive, but I also don't like it being incredibly time consuming. Yeah, I understand thats a bit of an oxymoron. I guess...I enjoy recruiting, but damn it I want the best guys if I'm going to be spending so much time doing the recruiting mini-game. Recruiting takes up too much of my time imo, although I'm not sure how you could speed it up without making it less realistic/immersive. It probably doesn't help that I spend an hour picking the 25 recruits I want and then find their highest interests through trial and error along with multiple reloads

I ran into this same problem in Madden, which is part of the reason I stopped getting that game. I liked playing on the field, negotiating contracts with new players, and I worked hard to master all the stupid mini games so I could enhance all the players in the off season...but those damn drills annoyed the **** out of me. Spent so much time learning the nuances of the drills and how to exploit them for the most possible points, it became a chore. It wasn't fun, but I felt I had to do it anyway to have the best roster.

So...it's an internal struggle mostly I guess. I'm somewhat lazy in some respects as I want the best team without having to put in hours of work doing drills and such. I guess the drills and the more boring parts of a regular season are all part of the process, but I don't find the entertainment value in them anymore. I used to love doing this stuff when they were introduced in games like NFL Quarterback Club '96, I just think I'm burnt out on it now. I almost just want a streamlined version that lets me still manage my roster, recruit my players as quick as I can, and get back to playing on the field and racking up stats and championships.
