The rosters have been set for the 49th annual PNC Big 33 Football Classic, played in June at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, Pa.

Described as the "Super Bowl of High School Football", the game features 33 of the best players in Ohio against 33 of Pennsylvania's finest. The annual classic has such noted alumni as Marvin Harrison, Dan Marino, Tony Dorsett, Joe Montana, Orlando Pace and Charles Woodson.

Below is the 2006 roster for the Ohio team along with a profile of each player.

Note: school in parentheses indicates college of choice and players noted with an asterisk are questionable due to injury and/or prior obligations.

Mike Scherpenberg, QB
6-foot-4, 185-pounds
Cincinnati Indian Hill (Undecided)

The Division III Offensive Player of the Year as voted by the Associated Press, Scherpenberg threw for 3,026 passing yards and 39 touchdowns during his senior campaign. As a junior, he completed a school record 181 passes for 2,493 yards and 24 scores. He was named first team All-Ohio in Division III his senior year and received honorable mention All-Ohio as a junior.

Delone Carter, RB
5-foot-10, 190-pounds
Akron Copley (Syracuse)

Carter totaled 304 carries for 2,788 yards and 49 touchdowns during his senior year, leading the state in both scoring and rushing yards. For his career, he amassed 5,344 rushing yards and 77 touchdowns. His efforts earned him Ohio's coveted Mr. Football Award, given annually to the best player in the state. He was also named first team All-Ohio.

Robby Parris*, WR
6-foot-4, 200-pounds
Cleveland St. Ignatius (Notre Dame)

Despite missing five games due to a dislocated hip, Parris still earned second team All-Ohio honors. He totaled 32 receptions for 675 yards and 12 touchdowns in six games, averaging 21.1 yards per catch. As a junior, Parris hauled in 39 passes for 900 yards and 13 touchdowns.


Drew Kuhn, QB/WR
6-foot, 180-pounds
Louisville (Undecided)

As a dual-threat QB, Kuhn led Louisville to a 12-1 record in 2005. He passed for 1,643 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 964 rushing yards and 16 scores. He was named first team All-Ohio by the Associated Press.

Richard Sandilands, WR
6-foot-1, 185-pounds
New Philadelphia (Undecided)

Sandilands garnered Division II first team All-Ohio honors following his senior season. He posted 52 receptions for 873 yards. Also a standout on defense, he was named East Central Ohio League Defensive Back of the Year in 2004.

Troy Pascley, WR
6-foot-2, 190-pounds
Alliance (Louisville)

Pascley earned first team All-Ohio in Division II in 2005. He grabbed 35 receptions for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season. He also added four interceptions on defense. One of the fastest players in the state, he clocked an electronically timed 4.47-second time in the 40-yard dash.

Bryant Browning, OL
6-foot-4, 335-pounds
Cleveland Glenville (Undecided)

A second team All-Ohio selection in Division I and All-Senate League pick, Browning is a massive guard who helped lead Glenville to a 10-0 regular season record. A 4.1 student, Browning is entertaining offers from some of the top programs in the country.

Dominic Alford, OL
6-foot-3, 310-pounds
Shaker Heights (Minnesota)

Alford was named second team All-Ohio in Division I following his senior season in which he helped lead Shaker Heights to a conference title and Region 1 playoff berth. He was named Lake Erie League Lineman of the Year for helping the Red Raiders gain over 2,000 yards rushing.

Ryan Palmer, OL
6-foot-7, 280-pounds
Canton Glen Oak (Illinois)

A first team All-Ohio selection in Division I, Palmer registered 85 pancake blocks during his senior season and graded out at over 90 percent. The thirty-seventh ranked prospect in Ohio, he chose Illinois over Minnesota, West Virginia and Wisconsin, among others.

Zach Pridemore, OL
6-foot-6, 225-pounds
Carrollton (Undecided)

Named honorable mention All-East District in both football and basketball, Pridemore is a converted tight end that is projected as a collegiate offensive tackle. He caught seven passes for 78 yards and scored twice when working as a tight end. As a defensive end, he made 33 tackles and added five sacks.

D.J. Burris, OL
6-foot-2, 275-pounds
Kenton (Minnesota)

A four-year starter on the offensive line, Burris was a first team All-Ohio selection in Division III. He is one of the strongest players in the state, winning the state power lifting meet last May with a 575-pound squat, 575-pound dead lift, and 385-pound bench press.

Anthony Elzy, RB
5-foot-10, 205-pounds
Warren JFK (North Carolina)

Elzy registered a dominant senior campaign, running for over 2,200 yards while adding 21 touchdowns. He was named Co-Offensive Player of the Year in Division V and garnered first team All-State honors. Elzy is the No. 46 ranked running back in the country according to Rivals.com.

Corey Leggett, WR
6-foot-3, 190-pounds
Carrollton (Undecided)

Leggett was an all-district selection and honorable mention All-Ohio in Division III following his senior campaign in which he totaled 63 receptions for 883 yards. As a junior he was second team All-Ohio at wide receiver, catching 36 passes for 617 yards with 10 touchdowns.

Christen Haywood, RB
185-pounds
Hilliard Davidson (Kent State)

Haywood rushed for 1,684 yards and scored 15 touchdowns his senior year despite missing three games with a knee injury. For his career, Haywood totaled 4,946 yards and 61 touchdowns. He earned several postseason awards, including all-district and second team All-Ohio honors.

Thaddeus Gibson, DE/LB
6-foot-3, 210-pounds
Euclid (Undecided)

Named first team All-Ohio in Division I, Gibson is one of the top 250 players in the country, according to Rivals.com. A pure pass rusher from the outside, he has garnered scholarship offers from some of the best programs in the nation.

John Ryan*, DE/TE
6-foot-5, 245-pounds
Cleveland St. Ignatius (Notre Dame)

A second team All-Ohio pick, Ryan was also named all-district by the Associated Press. He registered 10 sacks his junior year and was posting stellar numbers as a senior before suffering a broken leg in week eight of the season. He committed to Notre Dame in June.


Torrance Nicholson, DL
6-foot-2, 275-pounds
Columbus Marion-Franklin (Undecided)

Nicholson was chosen as a second team All-Ohio pick in Division II following his senior season. He registered 24 tackles for loss and 14 sacks in 2004. A fine wrestler, he posted a 35-2 mark his junior year. Nicholson is being recruited as both a defensive and offensive lineman.

Kallen Wade, DE
6-foot-5, 220-pounds
Cincinnati Withrow (Notre Dame)

The ninth-ranked weakside defensive end in the country according to Rivals.com, Wade is a fearless pass rusher who posted 13 sacks in 2004 before being moved to the interior for his senior season. Wade chose the Fighting Irish over Boston College, Illinois, Duke, and Kentucky.

Selected to the All-Ohio first team in Division II, Power was also named District Player of the Year following both his junior and senior seasons. He registered over 80 tackles during his senior season.

Kyle Banna, LB

Canfield (Undecided)

Banna was chosen as a first team All-Ohio pick in Division II following his senior year and was named Metro Atlantic Conference Player of the Year. Also a talented baseball player, he was all-conference during his junior year.

Raymond Small, CB/WR
5-foot-11, 175-pounds
Cleveland Glenville (Undecided)

Small, an All-Ohio selection, is ranked as the No.85 prospect in the country according to Rivals.com. One of the most dynamic players in the state, he caught 28 passes for over 600 yards during his senior season while adding 333 yards rushing and 440 special teams yards. He scored 16 touchdowns and also intercepted three passes. He will choose between Ohio State, Tennessee, and USC.

Jovani Chappel, CB
5-foot-9, 170-pounds
Trotwood-Madison (Pittsburgh)

Chappel was a first team All-Ohio selection in Division II and is the No. 39 cornerback in the nation according to Rivals.com. He totaled 91 tackles and three interceptions in 2005. Chappel chose Pittsburgh over Penn State, Purdue and Boston College, among others.

Robert Williams, DB
5-foot-11, 180-pounds
Cincinnati Withrow (West Virginia)

Rated as one of the top fifty players in the state of Ohio, Williams was a three-year starter and totaled 15 career interceptions. He chose the Mountaineers over Boston College, Illinois, Purdue, Michigan State and several others. He ran a 4.34-second time in the 40-yard dash at Purdue's summer camp.

Massillon Washington (Undecided)

Ellis was selected to the All-Northeast Ohio Inland District first team and Division I All-Ohio second team following his senior year. He registered 10 interceptions in 2005 while adding 39 tackles and three touchdowns

George was a member of the All-Northeast Ohio Inland District first team and received honorable mention All-Ohio accolades in 2005. He has recorded a 405-pound bench press.

David Brewer, P/K
5-foot-11, 205-pounds
Dublin Scioto (Undecided)

Brewer was named first team All-Ohio as a punter following his senior season. He holds six school punting and kicking records, including a 78-yard punt in 2004.

Ted Schaible, DL
6-foot-4, 240-pounds
Cincinnati Roger Bacon (Undecided)

Schaible earned second team All-Ohio honors in Division III and was named Defensive Lineman of the Year in Region 16 following his senior campaign.

Derrell Johnson, ATH
6-foot-2, 185-pounds
Youngstown Cardinal Mooney (Undecided)

Johnson was named Division IV first team All-Ohio in 2005 despite battling injuries much of the season. Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 40 athlete prospect in the country. He is entertaining scholarship offers from West Virginia, Cincinnati, North Carolina, Purdue and Iowa and he has interest from Ohio State.

Anthony Oliver, DL
6-foot-1, 230-pounds
Toledo Central Catholic (Undecided)

Named a first team All-Ohio performer in Division II, Oliver helped Toledo Central Catholic to the state championship his senior season. He led the team with 8.5 tackles and a sack in the state championship victory.

Zach Slagle, OL
6-foot-2, 300-pounds
Canton McKinley (Undecided)

Slagle was named first-team All-Ohio in Division I. A two-year starter, he was instrumental in the Bulldogs' rushing success, as they posted 2,000-yard rushers in back-to-back seasons.

Brad Brookbank, DB
5-foot-10, 170-pounds
Cincinnati St. Xavier (Undecided)

Brookbank earned first team All-Southwest District honors as well as Honorable Mention All-Ohio accolades in 2005, helping St. Xavier to a perfect record and Division I state title. He became the first player in OHSAA state championship history to return a punt for a touchdown in the title game, scoring on a 71-yard return.

Paul Rice, LB
6-foot-2, 215-pounds
Hunting Valley University School (Undecided)

The Division III Defensive Player of the Year, Rice was a first team All-Ohio selection. As a senior he rushed for 1,700 yards and scored 20 touchdowns. He also recorded 116 solo tackles.

Jason Donnal, DL/OL
6-foot-3, 302-pounds
Lewis Center Olentangy (Undecided)

Donnal was selected to the All-Ohio second team in Division II. A two-year starter at tackle, he earned All-Ohio Capital Conference accolades in back-to-back seasons.

Chris Condeni, OL
6-foot-4, 275-pounds
Findlay (Undecided)

Condeni helped lead Findlay into the Division I playoffs. He has received a scholarship offer from the University of Findlay and interest from Grand Valley State, Miami of Ohio and Bowling Green.

I live about 10 miles from HersheyPark Stadium. This game gets lots of hype and a huge crowd.

Useless trivia. Every Super Bowl has had atleast one Big 33 alumni on a team's roster

All stars don't always equal division one prospects. Some of them may end up in 1AA, 2, or maybe even 3 but are still holding out hope for that big offer.

Don't know about this game but he's been playing basketball and doing well.
