Stat I just saw on Twitter:

Flacco vs. Brady, Peyton, Eli, Romo and Rivers this year: 6-1

That stat shocked me to be honest.

Flacco may have finally arrived.

And as a Steelers fan, for this reason alone I will be rooting for the Ravens.

Indeed. I understand.

But Niners have ND ties going back a LONG way to the DeBartolos, Yorks and Joe Cool., which is why I root for them. Mainly because of Joe, of course :)

Should be a helluva matchup, that is for sure.

ND great Bryant Young was one of my favorite players.

SF Giant's: World Series Champions.
ND Fightin Irish: Unbeaten 12-0 & Played in the NC Game.
SF 49ers: Super Bowl bound!

Very lucky year!

No doubt. Much respect for the Niners.

If you truly think that Flacco is the 19th or 20th best QB in the league, then the Pats D must be last in the league, sadly.

Flacco is tall with a CANNON for an arm and finally has a OC that tailored the offense to his strengths, particularly throwing long.

Ravens also have Pierce and Rice in the backfield. Ravens could be a force on offense now too. No shame in admitting that the better team won. This was not weird as the Ravens beat the Pats in Foxboro in the first month of the season as well.

I hate Ray Lewis with a passion, don't get me wrong, but I just care about the Niners winning again and putting to rest the silly comparisons between Joe Cool and Tommy Boy.

No they didn't.

Anyways, lots of people disagreeing or taking exception to everything I'm saying right now, which is cool. I'm mostly just trying to quarantine my meltdown in this thread, so its a small price to pay. This was a very good Patriots team that didn't show up today, and I'm not convinced the Ravens are particularly good. But hey, like I said, stuff happens in the NFL. Just frustrating as I'm sure many of you folks can related to.

Tough loss to any of my fellow Pats fans. Some roster changes will be in order but all in all proud of their season! As for the Super Bowl, gotta go with the niners!

Between the Irish and these 2 games I have lost almost $200,000,000,000.

Almost on skid row. Good thing I waited for vInterest before betting yesterday.

Did you guys hear what Wes Welkers wife Anna thinks about Ray Lewis? I don't use Twitter if one of you have the actual tweet?

"Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

I think I like her!

The fact is we don't know what happen with Ray Lewis that night in Atlanta and yes 6 wives is hardly role model like. That said he is an all time great. Also to me being Christian faith id is about being non judgemental and understanding can be forgiven for their sins. One of the reasons he is retiring is to spend more time with those kids.
