Here's the link on NDNation. The poster claims it's from OU's Scout site.

Take it FWIW. If it's true, we've got a little wiggle room, and if that's the case I suspect Charlie has a backup plan.

You're right, I found the link on the Scout.com (OU) section, but I didn't have access to it. While this is a great recruting class, I do worry about the DT depth. I'm not sure where we go from here.

I just feel without a big time DL guy this class just falls short, now in saying this, this class is light years beyond the classes of Ty. I felt coming into this season that we needed two D-lineman in this class. I think our current situation is ok with the guys we have right now but in years to come the D-line is going to be hurting.

We got more then 2 defensive linemen. You mean we needed 2 defensive tackles?

My belated thoughts:

Darnnit Ginn, play some other running backs!

Yeah, he didn't show any biases towards the OSU bound Wells today, did he? It made me absolutely sick. When you have an allegiance to a program, you should not be able to coach in a game that could sway or be influential towards potential recruits.

I grew up in NJ - Bergen County. Although I've worked in 46 states and lived in a couple the only place I've ever considered "Upstate" is NY. Just like "The City" refers to NYC.

I went to the game and here are some things I noticed on Saturday:

1. Frazer needs to work on his mechanics. Im not a QB guy, but when he would drop back to pass I could tell who he was throwing to by his body language. He was easy to read and there was just something off in the way he throws the ball. Like I said its mechanics, and Im sure the ND staff will fix it.

2. James Aldridge played 2 plays. That was pathetic, I was pissed off about that. Talk about favoritism to the Buckeyes.

3. Tim Tebow is incredible. If Urban doesnt at least get to play for a Natinonal Title with this kid at QB then he sucks as a coach.

4. Raeshon Mcneil is the real deal. "Real Deal" Mcneil showed incredible bursts of speed and coverage abilities. He has tremendous closing speed and can read routes very well. Dare I say he makes Wooden's job look in jeopardy? Maybe, but this kid is a huge breath of fresh air from what we have been accustomed to for the last 2 years.

5. Matt Carufel is an Ox. Strong and surprisingly agile, he will be starting for ND some day.

6. Barry Gallup is very, very fast. This kid reminds me of Joey Getherall for how quick he is. If he can impress Weis enough, I wouldnt be surprised to see him returning some kicks. I honestly think this kid is a diamond in the rough for this years class.

7. Konrad Reuland looked pretty good for the catch I saw him make. I didnt pay much attention to him because I was getting something to drink (sorry).

8. Mitch Mustain will be an awesome QB whoever he plays for. This kid just plays with great finesse as a quarterback. He seems so comfortable in the pocket. I kind of wish he was going to ND now.

Overall the game sucked. I got sick and tired of seeing the same old spread offense sh*t that both teams ran. All the high schools run that offense now. There were penalties and alot of incompletions but thats to be expected with only a couple days practice. There were some good hits though. I am really anxious to see how our secondary pans out for next year.

I didn't get to see the tape until yesterday. I have to agree.

Mustain could start at Bama next year. Tebow is very good.

Robert Rose and Gerald McCoy were awesome. McNeil and Walls will be awesome together for years to come.

after watching the AA bowl it was easy to see why raeshon mcneil was the first DB offered by charlie weis. rivals has mcneil rated as the 14th best CB in the country (after the AA bowl i'd say he should be #1), so the question isn't why is mcneil rated so low but it raises the question of just how good is darrin walls? since walls is rated as the #1 CB in the country.

I agree completely, The way he throws the ball is just odd, it seems like he has good physical attributes and I agree about the mechanics that I am sure will be worked out by the ND coaching staff.

When Frazer would wind up to throw it looked like he would push the ball out of his arm instead of just throwing and releasing. He does throw the ball odd, I have never seen anything like it. I am sure it will get fixed though. I just wish Aldridge would have played more.

McNeil Leads Defense
Mike Farrell

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - Cornerback Raeshon McNeil struggled during the week of practice when he had to cover East receivers Vidal Hazelton, Percy Harvin and Chris Bell, but when it came gametime, no defensive player played better or bigger than the 6-foot-0, 175-pounder for either side. That's why McNeil leads the list of the Top 15 defensive players from the U.S. Army All American Game.

"I wasn't really respected nationally as a cornerback coming into the game," the Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County corner said. "The wide receivers on our team worked me really hard in practice. Going against Hazelton, Bell, Harvin and Gallup really helped me improve my game. The game itself was easy compared to that. The West had good wide receivers, but nothing compared to our guys."

1) CB Raeshon McNeil -- McNeil's problem in practice wasn't running with the wide receivers, he could keep up with most everyone. It was getting his head around and making a play on the football where he struggled. In the game itself, that wasn't an issue as McNeil broke up many passes and had excellent coverage all game long. He also added a huge touchdown return of a blocked field goal which iced the game for the East.

2) DE Maurice Evans -- Evans was too quick for the West offensive tackles to handle all game and registered sacks and hurries throughout the win. His quickness off the edge is very impressive and his hustle in the run game from the opposite side of the field showed. Evans clobbered quarterback Jevan Snead on one play where he was unblocked, but even with a body in front of him it was no contest.

3) DT Gerald McCoy -- The West struggled against the run and the defensive ends were shut out against the pass, but McCoy provided pressure up the middle most of the day from his tackle position. He sacked Tim Tebow twice, causing a fumble one time which would have turned the game. McCoy was the best player on defense for the West.

4) DE Robert Rose -- If Evans wasn't getting pressure on the West quarterbacks, then Rose was. He, like Evans, was too quick to handle for the slow tackles on the West squad and he played with high energy all game. Rose had at least four hurries in the game and a tackle for a loss.

5) CB Jai Eugene -- Eugene had a terrific game overall despite giving up a big pass play to Vidal Hazelton. He was sticky in coverage all game and hung with Hazelton and Bell on deep routes. Eugene also made a couple of nice special teams plays and a few good tackles in run support.

6) S Antwine Perez -- Perez had the two biggest hits of the day and played well in coverage. He leveled quarterback Mitch Mustain on a run and it was stunning to most that Mustain got up. In the second half he destroyed Michael Goodson as he finished a run on the sidelines. Perez has been itching to blow someone up all week and he made the most of his chances.

7) LB Sergio Kindle -- Kindle flashed his speed and anticipation during the game, making a few nice tackles including an impressive one on C.J. Spiller for a loss. Kindle has excellent quickness and runs things down. He led all players in tackles with five.

8) LB Brandon Graham -- Graham is a load and opponents know it when he hits them. He leveled two players with huge hits and also blocked the field goal that McNeil returned for a touchdown, essentially ending the game. He's a gap filler and huge against the run.

9) S Jonas Mouton -- Mouton can certainly fill the gap on run plays and was credited with 4 1/2 tackles on the day. He also played solid in coverage, lining up against Harvin on many occassions. He had 4 tackles in the game and was very active.

10) LB Brandon Spikes -- Spikes started off a bit slow but heated up as the game progressed. He blew up a screen pass, forced a key fumble and had a big hit late in the game. He wasn't as dominant as he was in practice all week, but he had a very good game.

11) CB Devin Ross -- Limiting players like Hazelton, Harvin and Bell to somewhat modest numbers overall is not an easy task and Ross played a big part in keeping the passing game in check a bit. Ross had a nice hit on Bell in the first half and had a very solid second half with a couple passes defended and a few tackles.

12) LB Micah Johnson -- Johnson was very active from the beginning of the game to the end. He had a few nice hits but impressed mostly with his ability to run plays down from behind and to the sidelines with his size.

13) S Taylor Mays -- As running back Chris Wells was busting a few plays outside, Mays was forced to make a few big tackles one-on-one. Mays might not have stood out to most, but he showed great strength in handling Wells a couple of times and was solid in coverage. He finished with three tackles.

14) CB A.J. Wallace -- Wallace got beaten only once on the day, albeit a 30-yarder to David Ausberry, but also had the game's only interception and ran down Goodson, one of the fastest players in the game, to save a touchdown. He also had excellent coverage for much of the game.

15) S Myron Rolle -- Rolle made one of the biggest plays of the day when he hustled and ran down speedy Chris Caflisch on what looked like a kickoff return for a touchdown. The West squad had to settle for a field goal. Rolle was also credited with 2 1/2 tackles.

Wells Leads Offense
Mike Farrell

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - Ohio State fans get ready, the next great running back for the Buckeyes is coming. Akron (Ohio) Garfield bruiser Chris Wells showed the nation why he's the top running back in the country on Saturday at the U.S. Army All American Bowl. Wells is on top of our list of the Top 15 offensive players due to his three touchdown, MVP performance.

"This was my Super Bowl, the highlight of my high school career," said the 6-foot-1, 228-pounder. "I've always wanted to play in this game and to be named MVP is a great honor."

1) RB Chris Wells -- Wells ran for three touchdowns and was dominant inside and outside in the running game. His massive size allowed him to gain tough yards in between the tackles and his quickness allowed him to bounce things outside. Wells also threw a great crackback block on Percy Harvin's electrifying reverse. Watch out Big Ten, Wells is coming.

2) OL Andre Smith -- Offensive linemen never get enough credit, but in this case we're not going to overlook Smith. He was awesome on the day, dominating defensive end Eddie Jones from the West, opening holes for Wells and even pancaking 6-foot-4, 330-pound Al Woods on a play.

3) RB Michael Goodson -- Goodson didn't have great rushing numbers, but he was key in the passing game and had that one huge 51-yard screen pass late in the game. He reaches top speed so fast and has great cutting ability.

4) WR Deon Beasley -- Beasley is super quick and tough despite his lack of size. His opening kickoff return and subsequent gain a couple of plays later on a catch were both called back due to penalties. Beasley beat East cornerback Steve Brown down the sidelines on his touchdown catch and was dangerous on specials.

5) WR Vidal Hazelton -- Hazelton's 58-yard catch in front Jai Eugene on third down from the shadow of the East's goalline was a huge play. Credit Hazelton for coming back on the ball and not giving up when his quarterback scrambled. Hazelton also came within a shoelace of a great touchdown grab over Eugene.

6) QB Tim Tebow -- Tebow started slow, but made a lot of plays the East needed, including the aforementioned pass to Hazelton. On that play he avoided the rush of Gerald McCoy and got the ball off on the run just as Butch Lewis was slamming into him. Tebow also ran the ball effectively and managed the game well.

7) QB Jevan Snead -- The West quarterbacks were running for their lives all night because their offensive line was outmatched and seemingly soft. Snead showed excellent mobility, accuracy on the run and toughness. His touchdown pass to Terrence Austin was perfectly thrown and on time. He's going to be a good fit for the Texas offense.

8) WR Terrence Austin -- Austin beat Myron Rolle twice on the day, the first time drawing a holding call when his jersey was grabbed and then on his touchdown catch from Snead. On the TD, Austin got his head around a little late but still caught the pass with excellent reaction time. Austin is quick and gets in and out of his cuts well.

9) WR David Ausberry -- Ausberry dropped an easy pass, but still averaged 24 on the two he hauled in. He adjusts to the long ball very well and can turn and find it when thrown over the wrong shoulder. His size helps him shield off corners.

11) RB Stafon Johnson -- Johnson played quite a bit on defense during the week, but he was the most consistent runner for the West on Saturday. He showed good power up the middle and a nice burst.

12) WR Chris Bell -- Bell did his damage on special teams showing deceptive speed because of his long stride. He caught one pass but dropped another for a touchdown, so as a receiver he had an up-and-down day. But he made the West pay for kicking away from Harvin.

12) WR Percy Harvin -- Harvin didn't catch a pass in the game and ran two reverses for 22 yards. He also fumbled a punt. So how does he crack the top 15? His reverse in the first quarter was the most exciting play of the game and showed start and stop ability akin to Reggie Bush. However, it was disappointing he didn't get more touches.

13) FB Jarrell Miller -- For a guy playing out of position, Miller did a great job lead blocking for Wells and others and even showed soft hands on a 15-yard pass from Tebow.

14) OL Carl Johnson -- How'd you like to snap center for the first time in a live game on national television? Much less in a shotgun offense? Johnson struggled all week when Daniel Wenger was injured here and there, but he did excellent in the game.

15) OL Justin Boren -- The run game for the East worked well on the left side and Tebow was able to roll out successfully because of Smith and Boren at tackle and guard.

Wells had plenty of touches. He should make an impact immediately at OSU.

Snead had the best game for a QB.

After seeing Tebow, I have to think Urban will win an NC in the next 5 years with this guy and that band of receivers.

I agree on Tebow. Urban's offense relies on a QB who can run or throw and is tough enough and willing to take the pounding. Tebow seems to fit that mold.

Looking ahead to next years game. If the coaches come back and run that spread option bullshit offense. There's no way Claussen's dad will let him play in the game.

EAST # 3. Raeshon McNeil- “Mack Daddy” covered everyone like a glove all week and today’s game was no exception as he made play after play from his cornerback position. McNeil provided a pivotal play to aide in the East’s victory as he scooped up a blocked field goal and took it to the house from 65 yards out.

Despite leaving the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury, Notre Dame commitment Dan Wenger enjoyed his experience during his week in San Antonio, Texas for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Wenger, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound center, suffered a high ankle sprain and did not return to the game featuring some of the top high school football players in the country.
