https://mega.co.nz/
I'd like to think that everyone is pretty familiar with the background on this, but if not; this is the successor to Megaupload, which was taken down last year by the U.S. gov because of pirated content. NZ authorities raided Kim Dotcom's house with 70 officers and some helicopters at the behest of the U.S. government. He is fighting extradition and has won some major court rulings in NZ and he's become a cult hero of the interwebz. Megaupload boss Kim Dotcom wins key court ruling over mansion raids | News | National Post
His new site launched today, the same minute when the U.S. government took down Megaupload a year earlier. It's cloud-based and supposedly 100% legal. Users now get a key to distribute to downloaders so Mega allegedly has no legal issues. They will process copyright claims accordingly.
I've posted this because this is a major factor in the future of the internet and the sharing of information over an interconnected series of tubes.
