I thought it was a catch as well. If he had run out of bounds and then done the same thing it would have been a catch. He didn't bobble the catch, as you noted he fumbled when he tucked it away.

Even if called a fumble, the Ferrine flag negated the score. ND would have possession but not the electrifying score.

I missed it on the TD run but on that replay when the announcer (Danielson) was stressing the great blocking by the OSU OLine note Pittman running past Richardson while Richardson's jersey is being expanded to a 5X.

We beat no one this year, we got outcoached in this game by a long shot. Ohio State today proved that ND is not a legit Top 10 team. While the officiating and the announcers were bad it still didn't give up the 600+ yards and numerous big plays. 5 sacks given up and 6 dropped passes. Once again we proved we didn't belong.
