Anyone else going to be watching Oregon in the Holiday Bowl tomorrow? I will be there with pen and pad noting all of their awesomeness. I actually hope they win in convincing fashion so we can have a second wave of Oregon fans come back and talk more smack.

I think the Sooners will beat them. OU played opponents that finished the season ranked, and they improved a great deal as the season went on.

Yes, OU suffered blow-out losses to highly-regarded UCLA and Texas (since Oregon didn't play UCLA we'll have to equate this with Oregon's ass-whoopin' by USC) and tight losses to ranked TCU and Texas Tech, but Oregon benefitted from a highschool schedule.

It will be interesting. I may walk over to the local waterin' hole for the fourth quarter.

Yup. Can I say I was right? OU beat them with the stats (though time of possession belonged to Oregon). That's the difference between tradition and johnny-come-lately ball. Maybe Oregon should have scheduled a few more D1 bottom-feeders or a girls' high-school.

I didn't waste my time with anything except the last three minutes on the radio (I was afraid Oregon's uniforms would blind me).

Man, that high powered Duck offense those Duck fans were talking about was hitting on all cylinders tonight. No way our lowly Irish boys deserved a Fiesta Bowl bid. I mean, they had no problem defeating the young, inconsistent, 4 loss Oklahoma team.

I haven't seen any of those Duck fans log on... I mean, they did say they'd come back to face up when they destroyed their opponent in the Holiday Bowl.

Oh yeah, if the Pac 10 isn't the most overrated conference in college football, I'd like a hit of whatever you're smoking. There is the juggernaut known as USC and then a bunch of mediocre teams.

We definitely need to start scheduling Montana and New Mexico State A&M and all of those I-AA powerhouses. Get the F outta here!

I have said it for the past decade, everyone complains and says the Pac-10 is a solid conference..no its not. There is always one team that is way above the pack and the rest of the teams are average at best. What was Oregon's one quality win...Arizona State; they had to survive a late scare from the mighty juggernaut of Rutgers and the Scarlet Knights. I think Navy would beat every team in the Pac-10 but USC.

Oklahoma and Nebraska....two very young teams that will turn the corner in 2006. The Big 12 will gain some respect back.

Cal and Oregon....was that Cal that struggled to beat BYU, a team Notre Dame crushed? Oregon pulled the Cal 2004 and barfed all over their tears.

Shut up, play who you play and where you play them. Unless you're talking about playing for a national title, shut up and play. Oregon and their fans did neither.

Now Notre Dame has to win to back it up and prove the critics/haters wrong.

The Pac-10 is right up there with the Big East in terms of level of teams in the conference...there is one good team in both conference and the rest are average at best. Both conferences are a joke and do not deserve an automatic bid, except West Virginia and USC.
