I'm sure part of this is the packer hater in me, but if I see one more article about Aaron Rodgers and all the "motivation" he has heading back to SF I'm going to puke. Some thoughts:

1. You got drafted late first round, boo fricking hoo
2. You got to learn the ropes under a HOFer, tough break
3. You went to a system that is perfect for your abilities, lucky you
4. You won a god-amn Super Bowl, feel so bad for you
5. Your face is plastered everywhere, must suck

*I'm sorry, but if Aaron Rodgers needs extra motivation to win AN NFL PLAYOFF GAME, then he can GTFO.....if he is still dwelling upon something that setup his windfall of success and acting like its a bad thing, he can really, really GTFO

It's just the media reaching for headlines. Don't hate on Rodgers for that.

He always talks about feeling slighted and says he holds grudges etc. It comes off as a tad bit whiny.

Yeah I don't get it either. I mean, it was in 2005. Who gives a s***? Rodgers has been absolutely brilliant as a Packer, and it's hard to imagine he regrets how the chips fell. Like others have said - ESPN and other media outlets grasping for any kind of story to make a game is already interesting more interesting.

Its getting to the point where a comparison would be if Bill Gates didn't get hired at McDonalds when he was 16, and then went there in a Bentley every day years later to "prove those jokers wrong." Just be happy dude.

Haha yeah seriously. I hate the media. And especially now with the days of multiple hour preview shows, twitter, and other social media, all these journalists are the worst. They just seem like a bunch of talking head tools to me, being exposed for the farces they are.

Also AR can be as pissed as he wants about this, I'm not sure that he is or if it's all just media hype, but he should thank his lucky stars that things turned out like they did. The 49ers for most of the 2000's were a trainwreck and I don't believe AR would be who he is if he was drafted by them. Think about how great things turned out for him.

He was drafted by a historically solid franchise committed to winning. He was drafted by a team with a legendary HOF bound QB that he got to sit behind for 3 years while he learned the system and grew in maturity and football knowledge. The perfect HC for Rodgers arrived in 2006 with the perfect system for Rodgers. He also has one of the best WR corps in the NFL to throw to.

If AR was drafted by SF he may have become Alex Smith.

Not really. There's a list of successful QBs and athletes in general that carry a certain chip on their shoulder. Part of what continues to drive them even once they've tasted success.
