Seen this kid play in person and too bad he beat my school. He's a good player and can really help the Irish out.

There is nothing better in life than football and hooters.

Just want to edit, Notre Dame football and hooters. Which is only bested by ND football at Hooters. IN which case, God opens the heavens and the light shines down...

saw this little tidbit on some ohio highschool site thaought it was good info

\25. **** Dan Fox (6-4, 215, LB/DE; Cleveland St Ignatius)

One of the most intriguing players in the class of 2009. All you need to do is see the Glenville game from his junior year. Year in and year out no school puts more skill and speed on the field than Ted Ginns Tarblooders. Last year was no exception. In this game Dan Fox may have been the best player on the field, as well as the fastest. Keep in mind that Cordale Scott was on that field. He intercepts a pass and outruns everyone for a touchdown. He runs down one of the Glenville receivers from behind. Maybe he grows into a defensive end eventually but right now he is a great looking linebacker who is fast enough and athletic enough to cover slot receivers. He has the wingspan of a bird of prey. He has plenty of room to fill out into a defensive end but it doesn’t really matter if he doesn’t. He has everything you would want in a linebacker. He currently has offers from Virginia, Illinois, Michigan State, Maryland and Northwestern. He has been over the Penn State and Ohio State has inquired about him. Camping will be difficult. He is an excellent hurdler with a best of 14.9. If he goes as far as his times indicate he could be busy this summer.

mod note: make sure to add a link if you can. thanks.

Saw him on tv last night during the Holy War as well. Earlier this year I saw him play Massillon, and I was surprised how big and fast he was as he recored several sacks and returned an interception for a touchdown. He is the real deal. Also he seemed to have a good nose for the ball and no matter where the play was he seemed to be there.

I was surprised when it was mentioned in this past weekends game, but Danny and Carlo splitting time at the linebacker spot have more tackles combined then Manti.

It really doesn't surprise me. All of the Middle linebackers have been getting after it this year.

Awesome.

But do consider offenses are running away from Manti to an extent.

I thought they were two shy. Could be wrong though...

After Wake Forest it's Carlo/Danny 100, Manti 98

Regardless, I was surprised that it was so close and does make me appreciate Danny and Carlo a little more.

Fox was asked last night about the possibility of coming back for a fifth year. Said he would love to come back, but it's up to Coach Kelly and the staff hasn't discussed it with him at all yet.

Probably just goes to show how far we are from knowing what's going to happen with the 5Ys. With our depth issues at ILB, I don't think anyone thinks Fox won't be back.

Starting fresh new season new team gotta do it

... let the ambiguous tweet interpretation commence. In full disclosure, his previous tweet was about cutting his hair off, so this starting fresh appears to be related to that -- or is it?
