Big TE prospect visiting for the Michigan game this weekend.

kid is from a small school in ohio, but maybe plays in the best small school conference in the country and definitely in ohio. tough hard nosed kids come from this area and he'll be ready for the game physically where-ever he decides to play. looks very smooth running and has a very good motor when run blocking. pretty sure beckman at illinois was very early to offer and urban is on the case as well and he is drawing interest from bama too.

his team will compete for a state title in ohio.
a lot of room to grow as well, which i'm sure makes him very intriguing

You're talking the HS conference MAC, right? Yes Minster is in there with Coldwater, Delphos St Johns, and some other great programs. 5 teams from the MAC are ranked in their respective division.

Well then, as previously stated, the MAC is without question an unbelievable conference.

For those not from Ohio:

A few years ago, when Danny McCarthy's Cardinal Mooney team streamrolled through the regular season and marched to the State Championship, they lost to MAC's Coldwater 27-28. And Coldwater didn't even win the MAC, Marion Local did and went on to go 15-0 in D5.

If you're from D4 or D5 in Ohio, you have to beat a MAC team to win a state title. I think teams like St. John's or Fort Recovery eff up D6 every now and then.

My alma mater played a MAC team my first year coaching the OL (two years removed from a conference championship and state ranked playoff berth)....and we were down 64-0 at half. The MAC does not mess around. They've won like 13 state championships since 2000, and ~25 overall.

Going back to 1990 there are only 4 years a MAC team didn't win a state championship. In 2007 the conference won two.

D6 has been dominated by the MAC as well since Marion Local moved back down.

anyways with this said we can be sure that Ethan will be battle tested by the time he gets to the collegiate ranks.

FWIW, Danny did not play in that title game against Coldwater after breaking his neck against St. Vincent-St. Mary earlier in the playoffs. Him not being there was a major loss to Cardinal Mooney's offense.

"Broke his neck" can mean a lot of of different things. He ruptured discs in his neck making a tackle in a playoff game his senior year. He actually kept playing a little bit until he was taken out and his injury was discovered.
