So y'all don't like it...yet you have no qualms about touting Manziel's statistics in those games or how tough your schedule is. Makes sense.

And you like to brag about Teo's 7 tackles at home in a 3OT game to Pitt. In my mind there is little difference between wake or navy or Pitt and teams like Sam Houston or SMU. They all are not that great.

He didn't say anything radical. He stated facts. Cold, hard facts. Facts that you cannot argue with.

Oh wait, I forgot. That true freshman receiver who bailed out Manziel time after time against Alabama with amazing catches and RACs handed the ball over to LSU on purpose. Right...

So you are going to agree with his "facts" that A&M would roll ND, Bama and Georgia? Maybe you should read the whole article before you comment.

With so much being measured for Maziel against former SEC QB's like Cam and Tebow, I think its only fair that we compare Teo to the only other defensive player that won it.

Charles Woodson
- 42 tackles (4 for losses)
- 1 sack
- 8 INT's
- 11 REC/283 Yds/2 TD's
- 3 Rush/15 YDS/ 1 TD
- 11-0 Team Record

Manti Teo
- 103 Tackles (5.5 for losses)
- 1.5 Sacks
- 7 INT's
- 2 Fumble Recoveries
- 12-0 Team Record

Tie in his amazing story for this season, and I will let you guys discuss...

There is always one. Next years schedule for us looks even easier than this years (although who would have predicted Arkansas and auburn being so bad) look out for A&M next year

Lol.

No.

Not until they figure out cheerleaders are supposed to be girls.

That comment is why you are ultimately unqualified to speak your case on this board. You really don't know football.*

*Pitt just rolled Rutgers, top defense, top twenty, Big East Champ, very consistent.

Navy has an offense that eats you, plays to the best of their ability and bowl elgible this year.

Wake could probably beat the bottom four on TA&M's schedule this year.

Sam Huston isn't even in the same division as TA&M, Navy, Pitt or ND.

I didn't read the article because I don't care about opinions. The excerpt quoted in this thread is full of facts. You have refused to address these facts other than by blaming your kicker and Mike Evans.

If Manziel is the greatest quarterback in the history of the SEC, why couldn't he move the ball and score against LSU and Florida when his team needed him to do so?

They might not be great, but they would roll a team like Sam Houston St. I didn't realize there was a state named after Sam Houston.

Ag11, I assume you frequent at least one aTm message board, no? Are there ND fans over there aggressively posting about why Te'o deserves the Heisman over Manziel? I would bet not.

You need to be mindful of where you are. You initially stated Manziel's case very tactfully, but this debate has devolved since then. We naturally get defensive when someone tries to devalue Te'o accomplishments, so the vitriol shouldn't surprise you.

No one here has a Heisman vote. Given the bullsh!t politics involved, Manziel is very likely to win out over Te'o anyway. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here.

I've been waiting patiently for a response concerning this as well.

Ummmm, I think Manti should win the award, but are you serious here?

Umm, I think Manti should win the Heisman, are you serious here?

Yeah I'm dead serious, Jeremy Lin was the talk of the town for about a month, just as Manziel was/is after he beat Bama. There was very little chatter about Manziel prior to the bama game because he had lost two games up to that point and had god awful numbers in those two losses. Are you trying to say you don't think Teo's numbers wouldn't be better than they are now if we were to play Louisiana Tech, SMU, a bad Arkansas team, and Sam Houston State Bearkats. I'd predict Teo would definitely have a few more sacks, fumbles, and interceptions if we were to of replaced those 4 schools with any 4 schools on our schedule this year. It's amazing Manziel hits the media like crazy with all these records being broke and comparisons to Cam and Tebow, the same week after they just got done playing Sam Houston State where he played in the 3rd quarter even though they were up 34-0 at half. Yeah I wonder why, they put him in for another drive in the 3rd quarter just so he could throw one more TD pass for 80+ yards. I'd say Manziel was in padding his stats, are you telling me he really needed to be in there in the 3rd quarter, being up 34 points, in their 2nd to last game of the season? Doesn't sound like the coach was avoiding injury, but adding to John's stats.

But hey, your welcome to your opinion and you can have Manziel and the 2 losses he brought to his team, I'll take Teo any day of the week, with his undefeated 12-0 team.

That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever read. Would you be saying the same thing to Alabama after their loss to LSU last year when the FG kicker missed 4 FG?

No, the dumbest thing I've ever read is blaming a loss to Florida on the kicker despite the kicker not missing any field goals or extra points. Brilliant!

No, this and every other post you have written is the dumbest thing I have ever read - on IE. Probably pretty smart though where you come from pardner.

The smartest thing I ever saw is a quote of Manti's expressing his preference for the NC Trophy, and that that was all he wanted or needed, and all of this, these fractious, conflated, cowdungus and padded statistics that turn idiots heads are why.

Would you have ever guessed before the season started that the only good fans of other schools we would get on here were Sooners? Maybe, maybe not...

I've taken a different approach. I've decided to send an e-mail to as many media folks as I can leading with the Heisman mission. Then I proceed to provide facts about Manziel and his two losses and ask why he gets a free pass when Klein didn't for one loss. Then I mention the intergrity thing and inquire about Johnny's arrest. I close by telling them Manti fits it all perfectly.

Time for an IE grass roots campaign gentlemen. Get going. Manti has pulled out some wins for us. Time to reciprocate.

Most "media folks" don't have a vote.

It's almost a year old, but this list of Heisman voters is a good place to start if you're inclined to lobby directly.

Skip is known for saying radical things to get eyeballs and pretend he is relevant. He is a tool. He has been all about A&M as you forgot to post the part of that article that said we would beat you guys or anyone else right now. He is terrible no matter how much he is in our corner right now

I'm not a Bayless fan either...he craps on ND all the time. But I think he got this right.

Of course, I'd love to play the Ags. If LSU and FL can shut down JF...then we sure as hell can

I'd rather play bama or uga right now than the Ags. A&M is hot.

Anyways, why can't we just say... Manziel is a great athlete on his way to a great college career and possibly a Heisman. However, this is Manti's year. Manti was consistently good in all 12 games and has a consistency case that Johnny doesn't (as to be expected from a freshman).

Thanks

When I speak of media types, I also meant newspapers. I don't think it hurts to send to some of the electronic media or talk radio fools as well. They do talk with each other.

B/c then an Aggie fan says something proposterous that they heard on Finebaum show. So then we respond. Then they turn back on Finebaum and come here and type some more. It is a never-ending, sick cycle...

As a Sam Houston grad...and former player.....THERE IS A HUGE F**KING DIFFERENCE.
