At least three in the Top 15 BCS rankings will have lost today. Another good week for Notre Dame when this happens. Hopefully Washington State will pick off Oregon, too.

Outside the BCS Top 15, but in other news, a couple upsets are brewing:

Iowa leads Wisconsin 17-10 in the 3rd

Virginia leads Georgia Tech 17-10 in the 3rd

Auburn back in front of Georgia, 14-10

Arizona State rallied and tied it up with UCLA, 28-28 at the half

Wow, potential for two more Top 15 BCS losses and Oregon still to kick off!

Went ahead and expanded it to the Top 25 since several in the Top 15 lost today to see who could be moving up. So far 6 of the Top 25 have lost and 3 more are possible.

Wild weekend!

It would be good to see ND's computer ranking go up as a result of the Texas Tech, Wisconsin and Fla losses. The geeks are killing ND in overall BCS. And how sad is it that a game played on grass is decided in part by Pentium processors.

They really have no choice. Too many people in the Top 25 are losing and will continue to lose because of conference head-to-heads and then the conference championships.

This is one of the benefits of not being in a conference.

Wow kids... 8 of the Top 25 BCS teams lost this week. There could be #9 if Washington State can knock off Oregon and it is currently a 3 point game.

Go Wazzu!

AWESOME!

Wazzu just threw a hail mary with 3 seconds left in the 1st half and completed it! They'll go into the half with a 14-10 lead over Oregon!

The "geeks" have nothing to do with it. The BCS dictates which computer models they except. Sagarin predicts ND as the #5 team in the nation but the BCS won't allow him to use that model as it includes Margin of Victory. The BCS requires him to eliminate MOV which drops ND down to #14 a 9 place difference.

alright so what kind of rankings are we lookin at now? How far does Bama drop?

I think we settle in at #9 or 10. I think Georgia will fall pretty far and I'm not sure if the byes will work against a team or not. The computer rankings will definitely determine the level we jump.

Alabama(4), Texas Tech(10), Georgia(12), Wisconsin(9) were all ahead of ND in the computer rankings, and all the Irish's opponents except MSU won on Saturday, so you'd think the Irish would approach its #7 AP ranking in the BCS.

While I suppose it's possible, I'd still say it is unlikely. Just take a look at the BCS average and to make up that much ground would be amazing.

West Virginia doesn't have a bye. They already won this week 38-0 over Cincinnati.
I think that was Va. Tech that had the bye, not WVA

I don't hate Urban, because I am glad that he passed on the job because if he doesn't we don't have CW. I just have a healthy dislike of Spurrier.

At this time of year we all become little hypocritics. It's amazing who we'll root for if it helps ND.

If Notre Dame wins out, they're going to the Fiesta Bowl unless someone from Tostitos is smoking crack.

Should Texas win out, and they should looking at the JUCO teams they play, they go to the Rose Bowl. Fiesta loses the Big 12 tie in, thus they pick first. Now with first pick of the pool of BCS teams, are they going to pass on Notre Dame? Probably not.

Beat 'Cuse, beat Stanford and it will be the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State if they beat Michigan.

I was right on on the #9 ranking. We still need some help so there is no bickering when we get picked for the Fiesta Bowl.
