I was wondering the same thing last year. I have not found a Notre Dame friendly sports bar in Jacksonville yet. Everywhere I go theres a bunch of rednecks wearing Gator or Seminole crap.
It would be nice to go out in force.

I think I'll add a ND-friendly sportsbar list. I'll work on that tomorrow. If anyone knows of any Pro-ND bars, please let me know. I'll also start researching this because I've been to a few.

Anyone go to the Notre Dame games in groups?

I was going to post this today....

If you or anyone you know is in the Chicago area and can get out to the NW Suburbs, this is the place to be. Make sure to e mail Brian if you or anyone you know are interested. Here is a message he is sending out all over town...responses have been positive.

The Charlie Weis era has begun at The University of Notre Dame and things are off to a promising start!! With Notre Dame Football tickets in high demand for the upcoming season, and if you can’t attend a home game or you want to watch them play on the road, why not watch the game with fellow ND alumni, friends and fans.

Last season over 100 faithful ND alumni and fans would gather every Saturday at Fox and Hounds Sports Bar in Schaumburg to watch and root on the Notre Dame Football team, and the list continues to grow. With the season opener only 24 days away, I am trying to get a good idea of how many people will be returning this year and how many newcomers we are going to have join us.

If you are new to the festivities, Fox and Hounds has over 8 big screen TV’s dedicated to the Notre Dame game (kids are welcome if the game is in the afternoon). Every time Notre Dame scores a touchdown or Field Goal, the bar plays the ND Fight Song and we sing and clap (just like at the stadium). We have worked out deals with the bar to offer specials on different domestic beers. It is a great place to watch the game and make new friends with fellow alumni and fans.

Please let me know if you have an interest in joining us.

Fox and the Hound in Carmel is a very good place. They are rarely very busy and they have lots o TV's

Yeah I live near Zionsville. Probably would be very fun to get a bunch of ND fans together for a game one weekend.

Cool. I work in Carmel and live in the Castleton area. Do you know of any Irish football friendly bars in the area?

Unfortunately I don't...I have only live in Indy for about 10 months so still getting acclimated.

I just suggested the Fox and the Hound because its a good place to watch and they always seem to have a few honey's in there.

If you're in the Chicago land area, swing by and join us. I'll be the guy in the white #42 ND jersey. Blue Moon on tap...best time ever. West of Rt. 53 south off of 90 at the Roselle exit by Medevil Times. Chris Zorich will be there signing autographs. (I'm kidding)

GO IRISH.

Well I went to the Fox and the Hound in Carmel Indiana yesterday. And I gotta tell you it was pretty fun. I walked in to the room with the pool tables (Its a fairly large room with three wall mounted big screens and about 4 smaller TV's) and there was only one other guy there. As soon as he saw me he said ND was going to be on the center screen in just a few minutes.

By the end of the first quarter the whole room was filled with ND fans and we were having a good time cheering on the Blue and Gold.

Don't know if anyone is in the Lower Delaware area but if so you might check out Smitty McGee's on route 54 in Fenwick. The place is huge and ND fans take over on football Saturdays. I never thought there were that many ND fans in Delaware but It is awesome.

Maybe we could meet at some home game? Tailgate there is wonderful.

I'll be in town for NAVY. My girl friend wants to go to Corby's. So I think that I will have to go after the pep rally.
