Hey guys my wife and I are heading up to South Bend for the ND/Wake game. We have two sets of tickets and needed advice on what seats would be better, or if there is much difference.

Our seats are:

Section 14, Row 22, Seats 1 & 2
Section 3, Row 57, Seats 17 & 18

We have viewed a stadium seating chart, and I do understand that some may see the section 14 seats as the obvious better choice. However, I wanted to get feedback from those who are very familiar with ND Stadium and could help us make a more informed decision. Thanks!

in my opinion theres not a bad seat in the house. especially since they updated the sound system.

ive sat all over this place. i'd go with section 14.

but being close to the tunnel and behind the band is fun too.

half way through the year last year. before usc. it came as a package deal of pumping rock music in. then came "crazy train-gate".

Be prepared. Whomever is sitting in Seat 1 will probably spend most of the game with one cheek on, and one cheek off, of the bench.

I'm not a fan of the corner seating, but I would go with row 22, section 14 between those two options. It really all depends on how the game goes, but I've been row 2 in a corner spot before and we didn't have any action on our side of the field the entire game which kinda sucks. I prefer anything between the 30 and 50 yard lines for that reason.

I guess if the band is your thing, section 3 would be better. Closer to the students too.

I've sat very close to both of those seats. in fact, I sat in section 14 row 22 this year for the purdue game. Not to be dramatic, but it was the worst experience i've had in the stadium. Purdue's ****** band kept turning around and blasting music at us, and i felt like all the play was going on in the other end zone.

I would say...try to find out if the other school is travelling their band. If so, pick section 3.

Plus, section 3 is closer to the student section...whenever given the opportunity, the team has historically opted for driving toward the student section. So you might have a better view from that side. Though this year being all about the D, maybe that won't apply (put the enemy in the noisy corner).

final thought: A team cheerleaders in front of student section..they are hotter and more developed. The freshmen/sophomores are at the other end and not as...shall we say...curvy.

edit: one more thought...is row 57 the top row? i can't remember...but if it is, you can lean on the wall between the old and new stadium. makes the seats more bearable

Not always the case, certainly not in overtime anyway. Often they'll drive away from the tunnel so when they're on defense they'll be protecting the goal that the student section is in.

I'm going to retract my previous statement, take section 3.

Yeah i think BK even mentioned something like this in a press conference. Still, given our D, that might be the more exciting series to watch. but if we go to OT in any of the next 3 games, i'm going to be pretty pissed.

Thanks for the info everyone. Based on the help given and our desire for the game I think we are going to with the seats in section 3. We really want to cheer on the Irish and celebrate with ND fans. We live in OK and went to the ND/OU game. It was awesome, but it was hard to fully celebrate since we were in section 15 there, heavy OU fan section. So were are looking forward to being near the student section and ND band. Thanks again everyone!

You gotta have one big derriere or just really, really short if it's on the bench while you're taking a staND...

Seat 1 is usually in the middle of a bleacher row, not an end. You almost always come in the lower bowl sections in the center. If any of your tickets have an * next to the seat number, that's the dreaded one-cheek seat.
